I used to write fanfic. Fanfic that was well-received and well reviewed. One person in fact told me they gave up writing a certain story because they'd never be able to equal the quality found in one of my stories, which had a similar theme to theirs.
Then the woman I love betrayed me, tore my muse out of my body, and killed it. I haven't been able to put so much as two sentences together since.
