SPOILER ALERT for NCIS Seasons 5 & 6. If you haven't watched them... what are you doing?

In Judgment Day: Part II, Leon assigns Gibbs a new team and scatters the old one to the four winds. In Last Man Standing it is revealed that this was an elaborate ruse to get Gibbs to sniff out the traitor in NCIS. What if it wasn't a ruse, though? What if Vance really did decide Gibbs needed an all new team? That is your assignment:

Construct a new, three-person team for Gibbs to lead. This team should have the following elements:

a) Must have a BtVS character. More than one...

The Dursleys decide that they can’t care for Harry. This reasoning must (for once) put the Dursleys in a positive (or at least neutral) light.

1) Vernon and Petunia don’t feel qualified to raise a young spellcaster and so they send Harry to a distant cousin of Lily’s that is a spellcaster (Options: Willow; Tara; Mrs. Maclay; Amy; or Catherine)
2) Vernon and Petunia feel that magic is evil and so they abandon Harry in a church or some other place of worship, hoping that the religious person in charge will be able to cleanse the evil from the child’s soul ...

Your mission is simple. Go through your favourite fandom and find a place where someone makes a wish. Then you have a vengeance demon show up and grant it...

Simple, right?

Rule #1: You may only use the fandom that originated the wish and Buffy the Vampire Slayer in this challenge.
Rule #2: Canon sexualities apply. In the case of a gender-bender, the person still likes the same sex they did prior to the alteration.
Rule #3: The wish is granted by a vengeance demon. This means you can't make the results of the wish into a fluffy happy thing unless you have a darn good...

You've seen the Jailbreak scene a million times: Luke and Han break into Cell Block AA23 to rescue Princess Leia; Kirk breaks into the brig to rescue Bones; SG-1 breaks out of their cells more times then one can even count...

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to rewrite any canon Jailbreak scene from any fandom other then BtVS/AtS. The difference from canon should be that, for whatever reason, a BtVS or AtS character is somehow in the prison too and our heroes decide to bust him/her out as well.

The rules

- Canon sexualities apply (Buffy, Xander, Giles...

X-over with Saved by the Bell

Here's the scenario: Do a rewrite of the BtVS series with the hellmouth being under Bayside High.

1) Zack Morris, A.C. Slater, Kelly Kapowski, Lisa Turtle, Screech Powers, Jessie Spano and Richard Belding must have major roles in the plot.
2) Xander Harris, Buffy Summers, Willow Rosenberg and Rupert Giles must have major roles in the plot.
3) Any other BtVS, AtS of SbtB characters may be used as desired, but no others are required.
4) Richard Belding is still principal and Rupert Giles is still librarian. Buffy ...

Okay... Here's the premise. What if Cordelia got her costume at Ethan's? This costume must be a cat costume like she gets in canon.

How would history change if Cordelia went as a cat for Halloween?

Possible routes to take:

* Cordelia becomes a cat...
* Cordelia becomes a cat that can talk... (think Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch)
* Cordelia becomes a cat animagus... (think Minerva McGonagall from Harry Potter)
* Cordelia becomes a girl with cat body traits... (think Anime)
* Any other route that makes sense in the context of Cordy's costume......

We've all seen the YAHFs out there. Heck, most of us have written at least one. Well, knowing that, here is my newest challenge:

Create a YAHF in which one or more of the classic Scoobies (Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles & Oz) wear the costume shown in the episode Fear Itself.

To help remind you:

Buffy went as Red Riding Hood
Xander went as James Bond
Willow went as Joan of Arc
Giles went as a Mexican Guy, complete with a Sombrero
Oz went as God...

Your objective is to write this YAHF with one or more of these costumes worn by the person who...

Who is Sam Finn? The occassional person has passed her off as George Hammond's (SG-1) daughter, but nobody, to my knowledge, has ever explained how Riley met Sam. Was she the daughter of an Air Force General in charge of the Stargate program? Was she someone else? That is your challenge.

Tell the story of who Sam Finn was and how she met and eventually married Riley Finn. Riley/Sam is the main 'ship, obviously, though any others are welcome. This should take place between 'Into the Woods' and 'As You Were'. This should be canon-compliant in Buffy-verse, but anything goes outside the B...

Take four members of the Scooby Gang (two male and two female) and have them decide to form a real Mystery Inc.

1) They must have a van called the Mystery Machine (in homage to the real Scooby gang)
2) None of the core 'Scooby Gang' may be shipped with another core member. For example, say you form Mystery Inc. around Buffy, Xander, Willow and Giles. In that case, Xander/Buffy is a no. Xander/Dawn or Angel/Buffy is okay.
3) All members of the core Scooby Gang must be a mainstream character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel. Buffy, Xander, Willow, Gil...

We've seen what can be done with an evil vamp Scooby during the Angelus saga. It's time to take things to the next level. Let's face it, Angelus was great at screwing with Buffy's mind but he had no real strategic mind. He basically pointed out to the Scoobies that he could enter Buffy and Willow's houses at will, rather then using it to his advantage.

What I'd like to see is a Xander Vamp that takes on the role of a convincing Arch-Nemesis to the Scoobies... Here are your requirements.

1) No matter what you cross Buffy with to do this challenege, Xander must be a standard Bu...

Xander Harris, for whatever reason, leaves slaying behind after Chosen. He returns to construction and carpentry, building up a good reputation for doing a good job under tricky circumstances. He did get his start in Sunnydale after all. Dr. Elizabeth Weir, the leader of the Atlantis Expedition, decides she might need construction types to keep Atlantis maintained. Therefore, the offer is extended and things go from there...

- Xander is the only Buffy the Vampire Slayer character to go to Atlantis
- Stick to canon sexualities please

One of the things that fascinates me in the Buffy-verse is the potential for Richard Wilkins as a father figure. One must admit that, apart from using her as his pet killer, Wilkins really does seem to care about Faith, in a paternal fashion. This challenge will allow us to explore that....

The Scenario: In some way, shape or form, the terrible home environment of Xander Harris is uncovered. Not every cop can be *that* incompetent in Sunnydale. As a result, Xander Harris is removed from the Anthony and Jessica Harris' custody and adopted by Richard Wilkins III. This occurs at some poi...

Challenge: In which Xander, after years of training slayers to survive, opens a school for all people with ‘special’ abilities. This, of course, includes mutants.

1) One of Xander's first ‘students’ is Faith, who dubs Xander as Professor X, which sticks.
2) It is traditional for the students to take a new name upon entering the school. Sometimes it is an alias to run from their past, sometimes a nickname for others to call them and sometimes a way to reflect their abilities. Faith takes the name of Hope, which she says is fitting. You can change her ...

Challenge: Trouble brews in the modern day world (think 1990s or early 2000s) and a new M-type person calls forth a new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen to combat the threat. Pick yourself seven people from different fandoms to replace each of the League’s classic characters (Quatermain, Nemo, Skinner, Grey, Jekyll, Harker and Sawyer) and give them a new mission from the new M. You may, of course, use any fandom that can be deemed reasonable given the timeline and general galactic positioning.

a) One character, and one character only, must be from the Buffy-v...
