Buffy/The Walking Dead - Dawn-Centered

After Buffy's death things are bad, but they're about to go from bad to worse! Willow goes through with getting the ingredients and convincing the others to raise Buffy. However, the Scoobies should know better by now; some Gods have a horrible sense of humor and don't appreciate being summoned by mortals!

The question becomes: is Buffy 'Patient Zero' or does Osiris's sense of humor shine through as the power of the spell raises someone else or even the entire graveyard around Buffy? Whichever it is, the virus spreads and the dead walk....

Inspired by Christina Perri's song, A Thousand Years.

Xander has lived hundreds upon hundreds of lifetimes, had millions of last names. He is the eternal protector; the personification of Alexander, the'defender and protector of man'. He gives his life for the humans of the world and is reborn anew. An endless cycle.

His reward for his services? One soul. One bright and shining soul created just for him. His love for that soul is all encompassing.

The problem? That soul is like every other soul in the world. It is given free will and doesn't have to love him back. Ea...

I would find it exceedingly funny if Xander was Supernatural's God on vacation.

The problem with this is that the angels are getting uppity and the end of the world is coming. Sadly, to return to heaven God must die a fairly natural death. He can slip in the shower and crack his head open, be hit by a car, or killed by a demon ... the one thing God can't do is suicide. Pretty standard op, right?

I guess it's a good thing God picked demon hunter as a profession this time around. God-Xander isn't going to let a little thing like being a powerless human stop him from putting dow...

This challenge is based on the idea that Sam found some way to pull Dean from Hell.

Buffy Summers jumped into an unknown portal to save her sister.

She went Hell.

Dean Winchester sold his soul to save his brother.

He went Hell.

They found each other in Hell, but their friends and family brought them back.

Hell changes everyone. They weren't the same Buffy and Dean. They were different. They were changed. They were demons.

— Sam finds some way to pull Dean from Hell. (If Dean's a demon, the angels have no reason ...

Dawn dresses to impress Xander that fateful Halloween night. Tagging along with her sister to the costume shop, Dawn is quickly forgotten for (in Dawn's opinion) a monstrosity of epic poofy proportions. Browsing the aisles by herself she finds the perfect costume.

In the mind of young Dawn, Xander must only like Buffy because she's strong, a hero, right? So what better costume to finally catch his attention than a powerful girl from the future?

Sadly, the costume information card said nothing about the state of River Tam's mind or the horrors she has witnessed.

Ever wonder what made Buffy become a cheerleader? Well, it's not what you think! It was an innocent (or not) suggestion by her Aunt Sue--Sue Sylvester. I want this to be after Joyce's death but you can rearrange the timelines to suit you. Is Buffy still in high school or will she help Sue train the Cheerios? Is this before or after Dawn--will Dawn even exist?

I could see this playing out either way. No Dawn with Buffy still in high school or Dawn joining Glee (or just going to McKinley) while Buffy assists Sue.

The reason they go to Lima is also up to you, but I could see Sue...

Lizabeth Masen (you can change the name) was the sister of Edward who died with their parents during the epidemic. He remembers her, holding her close to his heart, trying to keep her face fresh in his mind through the long years but he never expected to see her again.

Buffy was once Lizabeth Masen, in a past life. A slayer was needed and she was given a harsh choice - be the slayer and save humanity or say no and let it fall. The destruction of all would be on her hands. Of course, she chooses being the Slayer and is reborn as Buffy Summers. She remembers very little of her life but ...

After Buffy jumps, Dawn runs away. She learns of the different breeds of vampires and how to fight them. Along the way she finds out she has another sister. Dawn sets out on a journey to find her and along the way finds that slaying ... is something of a family job.

It's known that Abraham Whistler lost his wife and two daughters to the vampires and we know he had Abigail before his marriage ... you can have one of his daughters survive and be Buffy (who is found and adopted, making Dawn a Whistler by default) or maybe the vamps didn't *really* kill his family and the wife was Joyce a...

Vernon Dursley is sent on a business trip in hopes of convincing the Mayor of a small town to allow them to open a Grunnings branch there. What the Dursleys don't know is that that small town just happens to sit on an active Hellmouth. It's in this pleasant looking town of Sunnydale that they leave Harry when they head back home.

I want Harry to be adopted. You can take a dark route and have him brought to the Mayor and have him take Harry in ... maybe he realizes who Harry is and trains him accordingly or just feels the power Harry has and decides it's better to keep him close and 'l...

Not sure if this would be considered a Real Family challenge or not but I don't really think so.

Just caught the rerun of Supernatural's episode Heaven And Hell and it got me thinking ... there are so many unanswered questions and things that don't fit about Dawn and that leaves it open to so many story ideas ...

What if Dawn was a fallen Angel that the Monks twisted to fit their purpose or maybe they just found and/or stole a Fallen's Grace to create her.

Must Have
- The Winchesters, duh!
- A helpful Castiel
- A sympathetic Anna
- A fairly confused D...

This idea came to me while I was reading elisi's story Not the Last. The idea is that The Master and Lucy have a child during the lost year. elisi named him Alexander and *bing* idea!

What if it did happen like that and the child was named Alexander and when everything is said and done, with time reset something has to be done with the child. Lucy is too broken, not to mention the whole going to prison bit and The Master is dead. The Doctor, while he wants to take him in, can't. It's much too dangerous to have a part Time-Lord infant on his adventures so he takes him to a nice sunny t...

While working a case with Bones, Booth keeps catching a glimpse of a young girl. A search for her comes up with nothing and leaves the team looking at him as if he's crazy but he continues to see her. As they are wrapping up the case Booth manages to corner the girl who turns out to be Dawn.

Dawn, after Buffy dies, runs away. It could be a spur of the moment thing or when the social worker comes around Dawn could run thinking she'll be put into foster care or she could actually be put into a foster home and run from there.

Dawn probably hasn't talked to any of the Scoobies th...

When Buffy was brought back we know something hitched a ride ... but what if that something was a bit different?

Buffy has taken a backseat in her own body - the Slayer within too weak from being forced back into Buffy's body to fight back against the intruder. The intruder just happens to be a demon (it can be any demon or you could go for the Yellow-Eyed-Demon to add more complexity to the mix ... you'll understand when you read below).

God sees what's happening and decides something needs to be done ... maybe the PTB petition for interference. God sends Castiel to the Winc...

This is a bit ... darker, I guess is the best word. It'd probably be best written if you come in somewhere in the middle and have flashbacks to non-graphic/semi-graphic beginnings but that's up to you.

Xander has stated his father wanted to sell him so ... What if he really did sell a young Xander? He was sold to someone (demon or human or both?), whether that person kept him or sold him in turn Xander somehow ends up in a porn (or slave - like those ones who are sold as housekeepers and such) ring. He's rescued, whether while still young or after he's sold to an 'older' ring. I don't...

Buffy didn't know it at the time but hidden in the folds of her Halloween dress was an old pocket watch. Now, with Halloween over and the dress ripped and torn, Buffy intends to throw the dress out but instead finds the watch.

Here's where you take over but the idea I have is: We know the watches of Time Lords stay behind when the Time Lord takes up their Time Lord mantel again - e.g.: We see a young Tim Latimer [during The Family of Blood] has the watch during the War and an older Tim, in a wheelchair, still has the watch.) Maybe it was the Doctor's watch (or another Time Lord who li...
