| Description | Anita Blake/BtVS crossover. At some well-established point pre-Chosen, one of the major players in the Buffyverse is, for reasons that are up to you, sucked into the alternate dimension of Anita Blake. Unfortunately, cross-dimensional travel has its side effects, and aforementioned character undergoes age reversal and some additional power attributions while crossing over, so that they arrive in St. Louis as a young child with a lot of power. One of the Anitaverse characters finds the child and takes him/her in. Requirements: The child must be between the ages of five and twelve. You must situate the fic at some point in time in the BtVS canon when the person you're crossing over has some kind of major issue they're dealing with- ie Xander leaving Anya at the alter, Buffy coming back from Heaven, Willow going all Evil Willow, etc. You must deal with the issue in some way in the child's mind, even if he or she doesn't have memories of what the root of the issue is. At least one temper tantrum. The child doing a Jean-Claude impression. The child calling Anita "Mommy," either seriously, or because he/she thinks it will freak Anita out. Bonus: Making the child Buffy, Willow, or Faith Midway through the fic, have another character try to cross dimensions to bring their friend back, only to have the same thing (age reversal, increased power) happen again Include Richard in the fic in some significant way. EDITED (7/17/06) TO ADD: I've gotten some great challenge responses, but I'd love responses that center on the following characters: -Anya- come on, an itty bitty vengeance demon who innocently blathers on and on about sex? Imagine her frank questioning about Anita's sex life! -Cordelia- A really blunt, slightly spoiled five year old with super powers would be so funny- especially if she were irreverent towards the vampires the way she is towards Angel. I'd love to see a response that looks at some Cordelia angst, set during the high school years. Maybe right after her breakup with Xander? - Tara- from what we've seen of Tara's life growing up, I think she deserves a second chance at childhood, and there's something about her brand of sweetness that I think would be a really interesting mix with Anita's more abrasive personality. NEW BONUS: When the BtVS character crosses over, there's a mystical backlash, and the closest person to them (physically) at their landing point in the Anitaverse is ALSO turned into a small child. |
