| Description | Perhaps this has been done before (if so, please forgive the overlap), but I haven't seen it so I'm posting the challenge here. It was said that the line of Lúthien would never fail. What if all of the Slayers are of her line? Now, suppose one of the Maiar who served Morgoth and repented after the War of Wrath decides after all these millennia that he or she wants to return to Middle Earth, enslave the Second Born, and rule as a God? Perhaps he or she persuades a few fellow Maiar to come along as well? For purposes of this challenge, pretend Tolkien never wrote his stories of Middle Earth, hence Peter Jackson never made his movies. The Scoobies have no familiarity with the stories. However, the Council in England did have a copy, of a copy, of a copy (quite a few times removed, in other words) of parts of Bilbo's "Translations from the Elvish", which Travers took an interest in and kept in his private collection (hence it survived the bombing of the Council headquarters). Story time line should begin within 6 months of the defeat of the First Evil and the collapse of Sunnydale (no rest for the weary, after all). What I would like to see: - Faith having a large role in the story (preferably as the main character). - Things kept as much in canon as possible for both 'verses. What I don't want to see: - Faith as one of the bad guys. - Absolutely no 'onscreen' rape or torture and no descriptions of any 'offscreen', either. The story is yours otherwise, so please grab it and run with it! :-) |
