| Description | Imagine your first experience with the supernatural being yourself rising from the dead as a soulless Buffyverse vampire... The person raised must be a main cast member (i.e. Columbo, Warrick Brown, Corporal Klinger) from any supernatural-free/lite genre (book, tv show, movie, comic, etc.). Jack O'Neill would count. Fox Mulder would not. They should be raised in their home location, or at least outside of Sunnydale. Their vampire persona should have a lot in common with their human self, but also a lot of differences. They're mainly free of regret, they've died once, they don't have to worry about disease... A dramatic change in their clothing style is likely... or not. They don't have to be rabid killers, they don't have to drain humans to the point of death. They don't have to go about murdering their friends/family. Your choice, however. I'd like the fic to be written with the vampire awakening in the coffin and having to dig up and out. You could either reveal the identity right away with the tombstone, or the thoughts of the newly risen, or you could keep it a secret from the reader... Dropping hints... Only revealing it when someone from their old life recognizes them or they try to get an invite into their old home. Your choice on whether they got the full burial and their death is public knowledge or they were just dumped in an alley/mineshaft/sewer and just went 'missing' for several days. They could try to integrate themselves back into their old life, return to their old job, make peace with friends and family. After all... None of the 'good' cast on the show has ever been made into a vampire. The change might affect strong characters differently. Vamp Willow and Xander from 'The Wish' weren't Buffy's friends, apprentice warriors, fighters of the light... They were, very likely, normal high school students. Heck, after raising minions and failing horribly, even Harmony tried to go good. That didn't go well, but her character was weak to begin with. On the other hand, the vampire might declare war on everything he once believed in. Becoming a major villian... Have fun. :) |
