| Description | The slavering demon army appeared to number in the thousands. They didn't. The dragon was real. Most of the ground troops were illusion. Only [number] of them were real. The problem was that they were infectious. --Challenge: Use the above lines in a fic dealing with Angel's stand in NFA. Then explain/show what the infection(s) is/are and why this is a bad thing. You can use this as an opportunity to save the gang or wipe them out completely. Brainwashing and species changing would be a plus. Feel free to vary the line-up present at the last stand, more/different survivors... Especially if the change in roster makes them a lot more vulnerable :) Why would W&H bring fewer but infectious troops? Probably for budget reasons... Time constraints... Fading power, etc. Why would W&H make the illusion army? Maybe so Angel and the gang will chop the 'first wave' to bits/allow them to get close rather than running away from (or observing closely) the suspiciously low number of attackers ;) Gruesomeness/Dark comedy appreciated. Maybe they appear to come out of battle unscathed, only to succumb after spreading something around a bit. Heck, maybe even a 28 Days Later crossover ;) And it doesn't have to be the gang that becomes infected, maybe their clothes and weapons absorb infectious energy and become evil and mobile and self-aware... Heh :) Please surprise me and the other people who'll check it out :D |
