| Description | Buffy/Highlander crossover I want to see a story where one of the Scoobies is Joe's new bartender, I'd prefer Xander, Willow or Buffy, but I think any of the Scoobies would be fun. I've read a couple stories like this before, but I'd like to see more... Rules - NO character bashing, I hate that; I have yet to see a story where it was pulled off well. - The story can be set at any time you like - after Buffy came to Sunnydale. For Highlander... Well, obviously the bar has to be there, but otherwise set it whenever you want. - Some immortals must come there while they're there, and the Scooby must be a little suspicious of them. Suggestions (You don't actually have to listen to any of these...) - If the character is Buffy, Willow, Tara or Oz, you could have them sense/smell that those people are not your average person or something. If the character is Xander, Anya, Dawn or Giles (or Willow, if your story takes place before she became such a powerful witch), you could have them glimpse a sword in the immortal's coat, or recognize the person from before, just notice something odd etc. - If one of the characters recognizes an immortal, does the immortal recognize them? - Lines I'd like to see "So, what kind of being are you, then?" (Said sort of casually, like it's the most normal question in the world...) "So, you smell really old, what are you?" (Oz) "So, care to explain how you haven't aged a day since I was [insert appropriate age here] years old?" "Oh, my, is that YOU [insert name here]? How did you survive [insert awful vengeance here]?" (Anya) - If the Scooby somehow has to reveal the existence of vampires and/or demons, please don't let immortals that are over a thousand years old be unaware of them; I find it extremely unlikely that someone that old would not at least have met a couple vampires and demons, or seen a witch, or something. - How they got there... - Does Buffy end up in Seacouver instead of LA when she runs away after sending Angel to hell? - Did Xander go there after leaving Anya at the altar, or maybe on his road trip? - Does Willow go there to look for a new slayer? - Maybe Giles goes there to see his old colleague, Joe Dawson? If it's set after chosen, maybe to recruit him for a new watcher? (Are the Slayer's Watcher's Council and the Watchers from Highlander even affiliated? Do they know about each other at all?) - Did Anya flee there when she left before graduation? The story can be as long as you like, although I'd prefer a chaptered one. If you just want to write a drabble or one-shot, though, go for it=) |
