| Description | I was watching an episode of M*A*S*H, "The Sniper", where the camp was being terrorizied night and day by an overzealous North Korean sniper. Army Corporal Walter "Radar" O'Reilly ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radar_O%27Reilly ) came up with this odd bit: "I have a peculiar metabolism. If I don't eat, everything in my body turns to liquid... My shoes are full of water." He later risked his life by sneaking out that night, to the mess tent, for a large sandwich. Taking that hyperbole somewhat at face value, can ya come up with a sci-fi/fantasy explanation? Curse? Alien? Demon? Water Elemental? Remember though, that while Radar does show signs of ESP and super-human hearing, he apparently has a normal human's physiology and immune system, at least most of the time. Extra points: A connection between Radar and the bespectacled USAF Chief Master Sergeant Walter Harriman of 'Stargate SG-1'. |
