| Description | Theme: Xander is a Knight Templar Background to be worked with: either Xander is thrown back to the Crusades and joins the Templars OR he is a reborn Knight Templar the inner circle of the Templars can wield magic bestowed on them by the Archangel Michael upon facing a test of faith and morals; all lower ranks know nothing or only rumors about that; the test, that happens during a dream, is potentially fatal; the dream gets started through drinking a potion that is extremely bitter (and in fact a poison that will kill the drinker unless it is neutralized by passing the test in the dream) with the exception of a few chapters/individuals the KT are the good guys, none of the allegations that the French King and the Inquisition offered were true when looking at the Order as a whole the Templars (besides the historical mission of protecting pilgrims and holy places) were charged with the safeguarding of holy items against demonic threats as well as keeping several destructive items out of the wrong hands Needed: - Xander has to use the Templars battle cry/motto at least once (short form: Non nobis, Domine, long form: "Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed Nomini Tuo da gloriam" is from Psalm 115, verse 1 -- "Not for us, Lord, not for us, but to Thy Name give glory.") - NO slash Optional: a more detailed crossover with the following 2 novels by Kathering Kurtz and Deborah T. Harris - The Temple and the Stone; The Temple and the Crown - crossover with Highlander (maybe to facciilitate the 1st option?) for Bonus-points: use the following: "White Knights appear, silhouetted against the dark..." |
