DescriptionLet's say that there were vampires on Kelowna once upon a time. There no longer are any anywhere on the planet - the numbers were so few that the once-upon-a-time Slayers were able to take care of them. Now let's speed ahead a thousand years (or more/less - I forget how long Jonas' people were on the planet). It's just after the Buffy ep. 'Chosen', and Willow's activated all the Slayers everywhere - including the Potentials on Kelowna. Now, there hasn't been a Slayer on Kelowna for hundreds of years, and there are no Watchers anywhere. Among the Potentials who are activated, one of them is Jonas.

A few possibilities for why Jonas became a Slayer even though he's a guy:

1) this is an AU and all Slayers are guys. This can include Buffy, who would be called something else besides Buffy since she'd be a guy. Or the Alpha Slayer could be another character - Xander, Oz, Giles, Andrew, Jesse, etc.
2) Some incident occurred all those hundreds of years ago where the Slayer essence had to choose a guy because there were no suitable women available - you come up with something
3) Jonas is the most likely person to help with the vampire problem on Earth because of his connection with the Tau'ri, and the Slayer Essence recognized that.

Jonas has no idea why he is suddenly ten times stronger, faster, more agile, etc. than he was before, and (if you make this a post-S6 fic) some situation forces him into contact with SG-1 where they find out about his newfound strength. It is then that they all learn about Slayers - how they come across this knowledge is up to you. Daniel can come across it in his books, they may've run into super strong women, both of those, whatever.
