| Description | I've seen fics where Jack's son Charlie is alive but his death was faked, he's sent to another family, usually the Harris' and becomes Xander. I've also read AU/Dimension travel fics where Charlie's alive but he's mentioned as an afterthought. There's no real emotion behind the telling and receiving of the information. I want something different. Alternate dimension/reality/universe Xander is really Charlie. Jack was the one who died. Car accident that takes the lives of both Jack and Sarah while he's still too young to remember them? He's adopted by the Harris' (they wanted him or he the decision was helped by good or evil?)... why is up to you. He finds out he's adopted and his real name. Finds out some about his family. Later on he's sent to the Stargate-verse. It'd be great if he comes flying out of the Stargate not knowing he's in a different universe/reality/dimension (whatever the technical name would be). Seeing the military and hoping to keep his girls safe he says he's Charlie O'Neill instead of Xander Harris. Can you imagine the chaos, disbelief, and anger/rage that would cause? |
