Challenge IssuerMirroredIllusions
Challenge NameThe Chosen Slayers
Challenge TypePersonal Challenge
Category Multiple Crossings > Buffy-Centered
DescriptionBuffy was killed 3 times during the show, and went into one Hell Dimension (which could effectively mean that this dimension considered her to be “dead”), and since we don’t actually know for sure we can say that Faith flatlined for a few seconds after Buffy stabbed her in season 3, and that way we get 6 Chosen Slayers, including Buffy and Faith. 7, if you can find a way for Kendra to be resurrected from a slit throat after she died (if she doesn’t die, Faith won’t be called).

What if these 4 Slayers were actually Chosen, but like with the previous “extras” Buffy and Giles were not informed? What if the Council was able to contact the 4 girls, and their Watchers, before the Council’s HQ’s went kaboom? Or alternately if one or more of these girls doesn’t have a Watcher they could have a Dream leading them to Sunnydale. How will the Scoobies and the multitude of Potentials react to there not being 2 active Slayers, but 6?

It’s up to you if the girls coming to Sunnydale have managed to survive for 4, 2, and 1 years or if they are newly Chosen. It’s also up to you if they’re Council trained like Kendra was (nearly blind obedience to the Council/Watchers), found a year or two before being activated like Faith (some training), after the fact like Buffy (no preparation for the supernatural at all), or if they’ve learned by trial and error. They may also bring their own friends/allies when they show up.

One of the Slayers has to be Kelly Gibbs, the “dead” daughter of Leroy Jethro Gibbs (NCIS). She has to have been between 13 and 18 when she was Chosen, the same goes for the other three. Kelly was born in 1983, “killed” in 1991 at age 8, and is therefore 20 in 2003. If you chose to use her canon age she has to have been called by Faith flatlining in 1999, or by Buffy’s trip to the “Worker Bee” Hell.

It’s also optional if Kelly remembers her family and what the Watchers who came to get her did to her mother, and how they tried or managed to convince her that her father didn’t want her anymore. Depending on how successful the brainwashing was she might want to try and find her father after the Battle.

The three last Slayers can either be OC’s or girls from other fandoms. It would make more sense if they weren’t from the American continent, but rather from Asia, Europe, or Africa. After all it should be enough with three American Slayers. Also, these Slayers can’t have other magical abilities (i.e. Hermione can’t be a Slayer since she’s a Witch).

If you think they need more than six Slayers to win the Battle then you can have someone be familiar with the Halliwell Family (Charmed), and suggest that they ask for the spell to Triple A Witch’s Strength/Charm of Multiplicity (http://charmed.wikia.com/wiki/Charm_of_Multiplicity).

When Prue said the spell on Charmed it created 2 doubles, in addition to her. One clone was conservative and the other was sexy and flirting. It could be interesting to see two other sides of Buffy and Faith…

If you chose to use the spell it would make the number of Chosen Slayers go from 6 to 18, and there would be no need to Call the Potentials with the Scythe. After the Battle the doubles/clones will simply fade away if they are not killed.

This story has to be pro-Buffy, and she has to work things out with Faith.

It’s up to you if the four other Slayers arrive together or separately.

Good luck! :)
