| Description | Premise is that Sparks, hyper cognitive geniuses, more often than not quite literally "Mad Scientists", are real in the BtVS verse. These Sparks tend to create items and machines that are quite literally out of their time, but doing so using contemporary materials. And in Girl Genius lore, quite a few emerging Sparks without training end up getting themselves killed right away by creating some insane machine that end turning against them, or simply run amok. With that premise, it's clear that there were at least two major sparks in Sunnydale at some point. Warren Meers, and whomever built Ted, the robot. The scientists in the Initiative would probably also be sparks at some potency, as they did create Adam after all. Could any of the Scoobies qualify as sparks and start creating weird contraptions, or the ultimate Coffee maker in their sleep? Who's to say it has to be machines (to start with). Xander did apparently show a very high aptitude in working with wood, and quite suddenly really. It could be an interesting challenge getting this to work out without invoking the Halloween episode :) |
