Challenge NameKalderash - Calendar - Callen?
Challenge TypePersonal Challenge
Category NCIS
DescriptionFact: The Kalderash Clan from BTVS lives in Romania. There are still living members, according to cannon.
Fact: G. Callen was born in Romania; possibly fathered by a Romanian man, but definitely the grandson of a "Roma girl".

Challenge: Someone from the second season of BTVS (Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles, Oz, Dawn w/ her implanted memories) joins the NCIS: Los Angeles crew. He or she somehow (notices quirks, recognizes a particular accent while he's speaking Romanian, etc) realizes that G. Callen is actually a son of the Kalderash Clan (whether that's through his unknown father or if his maternal grandmother is up to you), due to similarities to Jenny Calendar/Janna Kalderash. Now, how to break it to the agent - and his best friend/guard dog/mother hen - that magic is really real, and he comes from a family best known for cursing a soul into a vampire?

You can take as long as you want for the BTVS character to realize who G. reminds him/her of. It can be 'right there' for days, weeks, or months, but I would like there to be some story after G. finds out. Aside from your main BTVS character, you can have as many others there as you want. As for time lines: NCIS:LA could be any time (though before the beginning of season 3 would be my ideal); BTVS should be post-Chosen (preferably at least a few years post-Not Fade Away). And please, no character bashing.

1. If you can think up a decent Romanian name that starts with a 'G' (or at least starts with the sound 'ghee')
2. If you can come up with a plausible explanation for a five-year-old to not remember his own first name
3. Hetty either once was - or is related to - a Watcher
4. Eric and/or Nell already know about the supernatural
