DescriptionPost Season 7 except, Joyce was sick for a long time, but she didn’t die. I don’t know how to convincingly keep her alive with Willow and Tara moving in and later everyone kicking Buffy out of her own house.

Maybe she went into a coma and when she came out of it sometime after Normal Again, she was sent somewhere to rehabilitate? Maybe Rome. She fell in love with the city and when Sunnydale imploded, she convinced the girls to move there with her. This would also mean that Joyce isn’t the one that Dawn talked to in Conversations with Dead People.

I don’t think that Buffy should forgive and forget about them kicking her out of her house. I guess for the story’s sake she had to move on from it, but I thought that she should have been given some angry time.

When the story starts...

Buffy, Dawn and Joyce are living in Rome where:

Joyce has opened/taken over another art gallery.

Buffy is 24 or 25 and is in/has finished college, or taking community classes, or something. I don’t care what her major is, but realizing how much family means to her, she takes a few classes in art to try and become closer to her mother.

Dawn is 18 or 19, and just entering college doing whatever. I always thought that she was a brat, but if you can redeem her, go ahead and try. Otherwise, she doesn’t have to be in the story much.

Joyce dies (up to you how), leaving everything to Buffy and Dawn. This includes the Art Gallery.

Buffy is overwhelmed with the Gallery. There is a large shipment that came in just before Joyce died, and no one has had a chance to look at it.

Giles is head of the Watchers Council now, and doesn’t have a whole lot of time to help Buffy with the gallery, but he does help her open the shipment.

Once it is open, he realizes that the task is more than he can handle along with the WC, so he calls in Duncan whom he knew from when he was a museum curator in England.

I am not sure what the story line is with this Immortal that I have been hearing that Buffy gets involved with, but maybe it could be Duncan, or have there be no Immortal at all. Just Duncan.

I would love a romantic/adventure story, where they find out about each others lives. If you can find a realistic way to make Buffy immortal without her becoming a vampire or like Duncan, I would love that. Maybe a prophecy involving her and Duncan?

Minimal Angel/Spike angst. If you have to bring up that crew, ok. But I don’t want her agonizing over the past too much. I didn’t see the ending of Angel, but it is my understanding that only Angel, Spike, Gunn and Illyria made it to the alley, only to be attacked by an army of demons. Use it or not.

It has been a long time since I saw Highlander. I don’t really remember much of the story line, so I will leave it up to the author to put this into the Highlander timeline. Please don’t have Duncan angsting over his lost love. I don’t mind Buffy/Duncan missing them, but please don’t use it as a device to keep them apart.

The rest is up to you. I love long stories. The longer the better.

Any rating is ok. The higher the better, but I don’t want it to just be smut.
