Review of chapter "Fathers Day" from DieselDriver
Review:
Never really thought about it before but Superman putting his fortress of solitude in the arctic (original comic book location) or any place on Earth never really made any sense. The old tv series with Steve Reeves had that "able to leap tall buildings" crap in their spiel but the dude could fly. Why would he need to jump over a building? Probably for the same reason the bullets bounced off but he ducked from the thrown gun. Because the writers weren't even close to intelligent.

Edit: Found the book I thought was written by Edmund Hamilton. It wasn't. It was written by Phillip Wylie:

Gladiator

First published in 1930, Gladiator is the tale of Hugo Danner, a man endowed from birth with extraodinary strength and speed. But Danner is no altruist. He spends his life trying to cope with his abilities, becoming a sports hero in college, later a sideshow act, a war hero, never truly finding peace with himself. The character of Danner inspired both Superman's creators,...more

Actually way back when he couldn't fly, that power was added later, so I'm guessing that the show was paying homage to the original power set while also including a new one that people loved. I agree with you about the gun though.

Oh what a dogs life Krypto lives.

edit: comment to your reply. Obviously you haven't met my dogs. LOL Smallest is Jack, a foundling, saved from being coyote bait. I think he's a Jack Russel Terrier, he has springs for legs. Zeke, a mongrel that was supposed to be half dachshund but is as big as our German Shepherd Dog, Belle. Zeke has a propeller tail. It never just wags, it goes in circles and up and down and back and forth apparently at random. Belle needs Valium, desperately. Finally there's Kittie. He's an Anatolian Shepherd. Big enough to pull a wagon. Really Really doesn't like Zeke.

Dogs as a rule are awesome, so a super dog must be a level of awesome all to themselves.

After some of the things I've seen on TV I just can't imagine the mindset that H.P. Lovecraft wrote for, the idea that simply looking at a being would drive a person insane. Cthulhu would probably be upset if someone saw him and laughed at the pretend monster and called him "Squiddly Diddly".

You've got great material here. I'm loving the brief connections between the standard DCU and the one that you shaped to better fit with the Jossverses darker tone. Hope that your muse is kind and your train of thought well traveled. Great work. Keep it up.

Review:
I was rereading this story and found it had a new chapter! Thanks for updating it!

I liked it, especially Xander saying the CIA had nothing on Lois Lane. :)

It would have been nice to see more of the first meeting of Xander and Martha and Jonathan, perhaps as a flashback later?

Hope to see even more of this soon.

Review of chapter "The Family Gathers" from KingOfCretins
Review:
I’ve just finished reading the series through again and loved it.

One thing came to mind from the previous story; if Buffy is going to be helping the League officially even if it is just occasionally it might be best if she had some form of outfit to keep her identity secret perhaps something from the Batclan for extra protection as Slayers don’t have much protection from modern weapons. Just a thought.

Great stuff please write more.

I'm glad you're going to continue this, I really liked this story and series. There are so many DC heroes that you could integrate, I'm anxious to see where this goes. And the plot is one of the best I've read in a while.

Review:
Lovely chapter.

Has Connor thought of getting Raven to develop a collar that can dose Krypto with red sun radiation?

No pain, no harm, just a time out from his powers when he misbehaves..

Also, what dio you think is gonna happen if Xander and Connor find out the poor kid's other genetic donor is Lex?
Comments from author:
This is before Connor died, so he's mostly bluff when it comes to Krypto. Sure he's annoyed that Superman shoved this dog off onto him, but he wouldn't do anything to get rid of the mutt, or seriously train him.

As for Xander finding out just who the human side of Connor is, I'm still debating about it. Either way it won't change the major plot points that I've mapped out for the story, but I don't see Xander being in a position to find out.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from CrystalBlaze
Review:
Hi. Mxy interrupted before Xander could act on it, but I expect he would have taken his laptop for a walk once he knew it could handle vacuum, to the Dark Side of the moon to be more precise. (nice big lunar mass blocking sunspot interference..)

I am impressed by Xander's genre savviness in this part as well. With the outsider's perspective of Xander's truly Strangeluck (such an underrated show, that was) with women, I can confidently say he was, if anything, *understating* what dire fate he would have suffered at the bludgeoning extremities and weapons of all League females.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Comments from author:
I'm trying to get the right mix as far as Xander's view on women. In my mind it has become a mix of farmboy respect drilled into him by Clarks memories of Ma and Pa Kent, and the fact that he is now spending his teenage years with a lare group of assertive and somewhat violent women. I worry that it doesn't come across like that, but it seems like I'm at least getting it somewhat right going off of your review.
