i was't whether id like this at first but i like that little touch there, in the mirror, about buffy killing her own kid. i could see her doing that, if pushed hard enough and in the middle of a war.

I got this story on tracking and I'm hoping that one day maybe you have the time and feel well enough to update and finish this story. I was hoping for a Legolas or Haldir pairing but that's just me because I like them both. I was also hoping that Spike will find somebody to love.

You have not updated in quite some time which suggests to me that real life has caught up or that the story has fallen by the wayside. If it is the former, I wish you the best of luck in whatever has come your way so that you can find your way back. If it is the latter, I wish you the best of luck in finding your muse and taking the story up again. I've enjoyed it a great deal. It is well thought out and well written and deals well with the various loose ends that have come up and in a way that most authors haven't managed. The emotions of the story are well articulated without being overbearing and suffocating and as such much more believable than most. I am also glad to see Buffy in Middle Earth with such a decent support group and with someone from home with her.
I know that I am hoping against the odds that this story will be updated again so all I can really say is thank you for having written so much of this story for us to have enjoyed.
I hope you don't mind getting a review so long after your last update.
Regards, C.C.
P.S. If you do come back, my vote is in for Legolas, even if it is probably too late. :-D Thanks again!
Comments from author:
I certainly don't mind that you've reviewed this long after the update by any means!
If anything, it makes me want to get things sorted so I can start writing on this story again.
I do have part of the next chapter written, but, alas, as you guessed, the dreaded Real Life has been intruding for quite some time now and I haven't had a chance to do much with it. It's just been one thing after another for so long now that I sort've want to beat my head against the wall.
We've all been ill (and on RIDICULOUS amounts of antibiotics!), and I just had to replace the engine in my car, and then we had a blizzard Christmas Eve (well, at least we had our first White Christmas in...25 years?)
And that's just in the last 3-4 months. *mashes head on computer desk*
At some point, I DO plan to get back to working on this...just as soon as I have time not consumed by one crisis or another. (I wonder if the First Evil is doing this on purpose to avoid getting it's incorporeal butt kicked again...)
Anyway, thanks SO much for your review, and cross your fingers that things settle down so I can get back to writing on this!

I've been thinking about this story all day and am so glad that I finally found it again. I noticed that it's been 8 months since the last update. I hope that you will be able to give us some more soon because I can't wait to see what you do with this. (I'm also definitely intrigued as to who you plan to hook up with Buffy.) Hope your muse has more. :)

You've commented in several chapters that you've got writer's block problems. I can recommend "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron. When I'm religious about doing Morning Pages and Affirmations every day, my writing flows like it does at no other time. Morning Pages are simply three pages of long-hand, stream-of-consciousness writing the first thing every morning. It allows you to clear out your blockages on your creativity so that it flows freely. I hope your schedule and muse will allow you to write and post more chapters sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Zafaran {mailto:} zafaran {at} fastmail {dot} fm

Ummm, you've got a bit of a problem I just really noticed in the fight with the wargs at the opening of this chapter. Who's got the scythe? It came through the portal with Buffy, and Spike used it to kill one of the Turak-Han. Remember? So Buffy's weapon is somewhere around here. What did Legolas and company do with it? I hope your schedule and muse will allow you to write and post more chapters sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Zafaran {mailto:} zafaran {at} fastmail {dot} fm
