This is an interesting idea, but I feel like the old adage "show, don't tell" could apply here. You do a lot of telling us about Wesley's feelings and about what has happened to Angel, but it's more effective to show us through his actions, or through thoughts that are a little less coherent and a little more natural as thoughts. The idea is certainly interesting- though I don't believe for a second that Angel would have given up on finding Connor in this dimension had Wesley kidnapped and kept him.
