Review of chapter "Postscripts" from lunalurker
Review:
This may be the best way to deal with Galactus that I've seen yet. As well as a truly impressive mega-crossover event.
Well done on all the juggling, and thanks for writing. :)

Review:
Jeez, this fic deserves more reviews. In the spirit of that I humbly offer mine up.

Good resolution all around, Nancy as a demon is a nice touch. I particularly enjoy how you've rescued fred/illyria as she was one of Whedon's more intriging characters and was beautifully acted by a beautiful woman. The superman/ superboy partnership continues tp amuse, but what does Clark's costume look like? Is it Donner-esqe? A junior version of SR? For some reason I imagine it with a shorter cape, but that seems weird. If you've got the time and don't mind sharing, I'd love to get your take on it. The Teal'c bit was funny, but I liked his friendship with Xander more. The most intersting thing for me was Xander with the Glass eye. I hope that you plan on doing something with that, just on principle. Then again, following you clue from chapter 25, I can't imagine that you put it in there just for a grin. All in all a great addition to the series, thanks a lot!
Comments from author:
Thanks for the thoughtful review.

1) Yeah, vengeance is a bitch, huh? Anyway, I just didn't want to stick Fairuza Balk's character away in an asylum for another decade. I'm open to suggestions as to what her specialty might be in the vengeance trade - maybe those who feel they've had power of some kind unjustly taken away from them? Maybe those who feel betrayed by their closest friends? And will she end up in a slash fic with Willow, or with demon babe magnet Xander?
2) I really kind of backed myself into a corner with the whole Illyria as Supergirl thing, although it was worth it for that 'effulgent' moment with the Spikebot. This was my way of resolving the issue of whether Illyria still has a piece of Fred inside her, in the affirmative, and at the same time returning her to her glorious Blue Meanie form. Now, of course, for those of you familiar with bad 70s and 80s comics, she, Hercules, and Angel can form the nucleus of the Champions of Los Angeles. Maybe the Xena clone can be the Black Widow... yeah, I'm a dweeb.
3) Clark's costume - huh. Yeah, the cape might be a little bit shorter than Routh's in Superman Returns. I'm kind of seeing the outfit as a cross between Dean Cain's in Lois and Clark and that in the actual old Superboy comics. It's definitely not a Kon-El look, though, I know that much. Now I just have to have a time ship arrive in Smallville with three superpowered youths from the future.
Also consider this: my alternate choice for Chekhov's gun and the final resolution was, time travel. Specifically, calling the Doctor in for a house call, and Willow realizing that she could use the temporal fold spell of Erithyon from Doppelgangland to retrieve *every single version* of Superman, Superboy, and Supergirl that's ever been retconned out of existence. Now I guess I've saved that trick for some future installment of the series.
4) T'ealc is awfully fun to write, and it just makes sense to me that he and Xander would become fast friends right off the bat. Kind of like the Two Amigos; Shadow would make it three, but he's a little too taciturn still. So, I ended up playing off of T'ealc's (canonical) Star Wars obsession. And now I've powered him up a bit to be a good match with Hyena Soldier Xander.
Now's your chance to vote - did Xander show up to Dragoncon as a) another Jedi to be named later, b) Yet Another Superman Clone (YASC), or c) a rather anime-inspired version of the god Odin? Or d) none of the above, because the two-dollar costume king might have found something else that was easier and cheaper than any of the above...
5) The glass eye thing kind of mitigates towards choice c) above, now don't it? Will Xander be able to see with it, will people mistake him for Mad-eye Moody, will Odin be able to see through it, where she stops nobody knows. Except that House is getting the walking stick of thunder even if he isn't technically lame anymore...
Oh, and does it occur to anyone else that Xander's supernatural babe magnet status ties right in with the underlying plot of Oh! Ah! My Goddess?
Nobody snigger now...
6) No, thank you again for the nice review. Please do feel free to comment on the comments. I don't mind input into where the wacky goes next...

Review of chapter "Parting Ways" from Antonio
Review:
Really good fic. I was surprised when the key to defeat Galactus was the joining spell but I would have liked to see the Entity fighting (maybe another time if they have not the omeghadron?).
Just a thing: I think that the Thermians knew already that Taggart and his people aren´t heroes.
You have a lot of plots to future fics: Xander and the Gods; SG-1 and the Thermians; Hercules and Illyria; the Silver Surfer and of course Dr Doom, Galactus´ new herald :)

'Galactus finally answered Illyria. "Your words are insolent beyond compare, child. I will not remonstrate with you, but only provide a punishment as swift as it is appropriate. For just as surely as I brought you into this world, so too can I take you out of it."'

BWUAHAHAHA... just like any other father. :D

Review of chapter "Never Give Up, Never Surrender" from Antonio
Review:
Funny chapter, not what I would have expected with the title: Never Give Up, Never Surrender.
So Commander Taggart, his crew and Dr Doom come back to the fight, aren´t they?
With so many spaceships (Asgard, SGC, Protector, Ori and now Doom´s) I wouldn´t be surprise if there were a big fight just while the heroes is fighting Silver Surfer or Galactus :)
If you have problems with 2 supergirls just call them by their names: Kara and Illyria.
If you are going to do shorts fics, could you do one with Dr Doom meeting Lord Mangha Khan? :)

Now wouldn't it be nice if the "bad guys" team up with the "good guys" to help in the oncoming storm....?

After all, they can't exactly take over the world - if there isn't one? :)

Review of chapter "Fortune Favors the Bold" from Antonio
Review:
Great chapter! I really thought that it was going to finish with Luthor getting the Omegahedron.
Very smart the Fortune spell.
Shadow is really the big champion from this chapter (first Nancy and now Ethan).
The only problem with the villains point of view is that it is difficult to follow the "who is who" with so many good characters.
"I've got a more important question," said Buffy. "Is that a freaking surfboard he's standing on?": almost as funny as her prophetic dream.
Just 2 questions:
Are you using Hellboy from the comics or the movie?
Why was Eric trying to kill Buffy? There were more dangerous enemies that he knew.
Comments from author:
1) Yeah, but I couldn't let that happen, now could I?
2) Unfortunately for Ethan, not good enough, and the backlash nearly killed two of his team. Yeah, that was the luck turning on them when both Luthor and Bullseye got it.
3) Shadow is really cool, although I'm trying to leave exactly what he can do a little undefined, as in the novel.
4) Yeah, I've got a lot of characters in this one. I really stuck myself with a difficult problem how to refer to the two Supergirls, too. Next time out, I think I'm keeping things simpler. How does "Xander Harris and..." sound as the basis for a series of shorts? Xander Harris and the Cradle of Life (/Tomb Raider). Xander Harris and the City of the Dead (/The Mummy). Xander Harris and the Panther King (/Black Panther). Xander Harris and the Case of the Noontime Vampire (/Blade). Like that?
5) Buffy always has to have the last quip. Well, her or Xander. And it *is* a damn good question, too - what in hell *is* he doing on a freaking surfboard, anyway? I want the good drugs Jack Kirby had access to...
6) First question - it basically goes by the movie version, although I might feel free to add adventures from the comics if I use him much more. But generally, just imagine Ron Perlman's voice, and remember that he's been kind of a big adolescent since sometime in the 50s. He's been adventuring for a long time.
7) Eric Summers is a bit of a wimp, even when he gets the powers, I figure. He went after Buffy first because he didn't want to go up either of the two other main targets (Superman and Clark/Superboy) till he was comfortable with the powers, and he figured she would be an easy kill. More fool him. In fact, if Clark hadn't caught him, the boy would've gotten himself killed ramming his chest onto the Ajanti dagger. Xander had everything figured, including his own reach being several inches greater than Eric's, and was willing to sacrifice his own life protecting Buffy's.

Review of chapter "Late Arrivals and Unwelcome Guests" from Antonio
Review:
Great fic and great series!
I liked the way you have used characters from many differents universes. This fic is very funny besides to have a lot of action.
Just some questions:
Who is Shadow?
Who are the champions for each Power (I think that SG-1 for Merlin and Morgan and Buffy for Artemis Anyone else?) and who are the mortals who had almost ascended (Willow and Jean Grey?)? Who are the heroes from the hidden world (in the same chapter)?
By the way: did you changed the Rating?
Comments from author:
1) Shadow is the protagonist from a great book by Neil Gaiman called American Gods. He is the son of Mr. Wednesday, otherwise known as Woden or Odin.
2) You're right, Merlin has adopted SG-1 as some of his Champions; Artemis, the Huntress, is of course involved with the Slayer line; and Hecate has as Champions all witches, whether light or dark.
3) Mortals who *have* ascended include Daniel Jackson (what, three times now?); ones who are on the very cusp do include Jean Grey when the Phoenix is unleashed, and possibly others.
4) The heroes from the hidden world are the Kryptonians. If you deconstruct the name 'Krypton', it basically means hidden or secret. Earlier stories established that Krypton was very isolationist and unknown to the outside universe before its destruction.
5) I did end up moving the rating back down to FR18, once I realized I was constantly stopping at innuendo rather than actually showing any sex acts. Figured it would allow more folks to read it through their filters.

Ooh, reallynice twist by comparing Ouranos to Galactus...

You know, I didn't realize until you commented that by doing so I was giving myself a major out for later on when he shows up....

Don't see it? Go back to Shards, and recall what Willow said Buffy's Scythe really is... who needs the Ultimate Nullifier, anyway?

Ooh! I like this one so far. I'm still blown away by the rampant unceasing crossing that happens in your fic, but I think the biggest feather in your cap is that you still manage to make them coherent and noble. Everyone in their place, a place for everyone. Strange but exciting. Full steam ahead!
