Review of chapter "My World" from bucksavage
This is an interesting twist indeed....
I never watched the 4400, so maybe I am the worst critic to say anything.....or then again as as outsider perhaps I am the best to speak on it....I'll let you judge that fact.
Now....both are powerful beings, yes. Both can summon immense power, yes. For Adria, this might give her the advantage here, for she can just draw more and more from her followers, so her power reserves are immeasurable.
However, do I think she'd win a true battle? No. Not on her best day.
Isabelle comes off as being a complete psychopath and sociopath. Sure both are vehemently insane and evil, but Isabelle would not only use any and all power to defeat Adria, and likeways Adria to defear Isabelle....BUT! Here's the thing. Adria enjoys her rise to power, revels in it, want's to live to demonstrate her power. In other words she has something to live for.
Isabelle would WANT to live, sure. But she would destroy the world to defeat Adria, to keep her from taking what she perceives as hers. It's like burning the house down to kill a mouse. She'd do whatever it took to wipe Adria from existence.....and Adria wouldn't.
If Adria were dead.....how could she revel in her worship?

Actually, I'd bet on Adria. :D
Comments from author:
I don't doubt that Adria *could* beat Isabelle, but they have very different mindsets - Adria's primary goal is to convert people to Origin, and so far she's mainly made use of her powers as a demonstration of might. Isabelle, on the other hand, is a demonstrated sociopath, what with her burning through the Nova group, killing or driving insane a dozen people to save her "boyfriend" (the guy she claimed as her own, much as an animal marks its territory.) She's not necessarily the more powerful, but she's more prepared to pull out all the stops.

:) I'm not familiar with the 4400 beyond vague knowledge and none about the characters, I had planned to watch it but life conflicted. Although sg1 on the other hand I was able to. lovely idea, my world alright, a mite touch possessiveness there. This was very pleasing to read.
Comments from author:
Well, it struck me that both characters had some similar attributes - they're both rapidly-aging, super-powerful types. And since they're both coexisting in the current summer TV season, I figured they might as well duke it out, and intentional evil just had to win over dogmatic evil.
