Review of chapter "Chapter One: Travel is broadening." from laoshi
Review:
The existence of the Cleveland Hellmouth isn’t just fanfic canon it comes from a line in the final scenes of chosen. They’re talking about the Sunnydale hellmouth being closed and it may have been Giles who says there’s another one in Cleveland.
You did a nice job setting the scene with the SVU detectives I enjoyed Munch’s snarking about Cleveland being boring.Runner Up? You were robbed, unless joss has adopted a secret fanfic persona I don’t see how anyone could have beaten you out for first place. Especially for a Xander centered awards. There are an awful lot of stories which insist on giving Xander powers of his own sometimes way in excess of Buffy, Willow, Giles or any of the other characters. This story and this series in general is probably the most perfect example I’ve ever read for the potential heroism of the just a guy version of Xander. Your version of Faith is just wonderful. The way you conveyed what the Harley means to her before you take it away and where her head was at with the deaths of Angel and Wesley was just brilliant. Her vulnerability and strength are perfectly balanced. The self-recriminations don’t get maudlin. The anecdotes of her post chosen time with Xander went a hell of a long way towards making a relationship between them visible. Honestly before reading this story I never quite saw how a X/F pairing would work but you encapsulate Xander’s appeal to Faith. Guess we’ll have to wait for later chapters to get what Xander sees in Faith. You haven’t justified how he could get passed the strangling incident yet but you’ve acknowledged it and by the end of the story I’m completely on board. I thought it was a smart move to draw attention to the ways Marybeth is similar to Faith straight away. Xander’s interaction with the Slayers is just made of awesome it’s a great snapshot of life there and Marybeth’s homicidal declaration is a good way to end it. This was the first SVU crossover I ever read but I think your juxtaposition of demon evil and human evil works really well. This story has been languishing on my recommendations list while I was reviewing shorter stories. I’ve decided to do a chapter from each story at a time so it’ll be a while before I can get back to this one. Thanks for writing a truly excellent story.

Review of chapter "Chapter 19: Life goes on, again, some more" from Gideon
Review:
Fantastic Fic, one of the best. Your charcterisations were spot on. Engaging and realistically flawed, yet slowly healing. You had a happy ending in that everyone important survived but you didn't ignore the very real issues of dealing with a human villain and the sacrifices that were made by Xander and the other Watcher to spare the Slayers from the burden of taking a human life. Very poignant.
I also loved the humour in your fic and I laughed out loud on many occasions as I read through. I hope you keep up the great work.

There's not much more praise that can be tacked on to this brilliant story of yours. But, I'll give mine anyway. You show much Xander-love. Since that's a prerequisite of mine, you can well imagine what I thought of this mini novella. Your Xander-voice was **PERFECT** I wish I could claim my Xander-voice was the same. But alas, it's not to be. I expect many more wonderful fictions from you in the future!

Review:
I'm a big fan of SVU and John Munch has to be my favorite character, so I love that you captured him (and the rest of the team) just perfectly. The one thing I always think of when I see BTVS and SVU crossed though is that Tutuola always strikes me as very much like Charles Gunn from Angel, the guy who knows about vampires. Especially since the guy worked narcotics before transferring to SVU, I could totally see him doing that after raiding an Orpheus den and going "Damn, I'm taking the first transfer out of this shit..." only to end up dealing with the most vile HUMAN crimes.

Review:
There's probably not much I can say that's not already been said, seeing as you got two awards for this story and everything.

But I wanted to say that, though I agree with you getting the award for best portrayal of Faith, I think you should've gotten one for you Xander too. He was brilliantly written, really.

Review of chapter "Chapter 3: YOU WANNA PLAY OR DON’T YA?" from (Recent Donor)lucidity
Review:
So, I've only read through chapter 3, but it's way past all sane people's bed times and I've got to stop sometime. But I just had to pause and let you know that this is fabulous. I've been avoiding it forever because I thought it was going to be some dumb mother-goose thing, but when I saw it was up for an award, I just had to take a closer look.

Well, to make a long story ... not any shorter, really: I voted for you. I'm so very impressed with your writing, your characterization, and the plot your working in. Your pacing is perfect. Your back story is plausible. Your humor is funny and your not-humor is not-funny. Just like it should be, or not-be. Yeah - getting back to that bed idea now.

Good night. I look forward to reading more tomorrow.
