This is interesting, and I like it. There's just one thing: -15 degrees Celsius is much warmer than -15 degrees Fahrenheit; -15 degrees C is like 5 degrees F.

Very nice indeed, except for the temperature reference. The two scales cross over at -40°; above that, Celsius temperatures are warmer than the equivalent number in Fahrenheit (eg. -15°C = +5°F, -15°F = -26.1°C). Sounds like Xander fell prey to the common Yank Assumption; "If it's not American, it's got to be worse." ;)
