I know you have it in the cartoon category, but I was picturing the live action The Tick. I recently watched a few episodes on Youtube's new legal tv episodes thing.

very very very very very very VERY Disturbing... yup much disturbed by this.
The Tick is one of the weirdest cartoons out there (Doesn't hold a candle to Invader Zim But it does pretty well in it's own right.)
Glad to see someone cross with this.
Comments from author:
I personally like the comic book better than the cartoon; it was, in my opinion, even weirder than the cartoon. I'm taking disturbing as a complement, by the way. :o) Thanks for reviewing.

"Without a soul, where did she hang her morals, her sense of right and wrong, her love of rainbows and puppies? " Deep. Very deep. Also, have you read Don Debrant's essay "Firefly vs. the Tick"? If not, you should. It's funny. You can find it in the book Finding Serenity: Anti-Heroes, Lost Shepards, and Space Hookers in Joss Whedon's Firefly. K, done dorking out now.
Edit: I see I'm not the only one to quote that exact line from your story. This either means that it's a very good line, or I'm terribly unoriginal. Hopefully you'll go with the former option, as the latter is terribly unflattering.

I have read "Firefly vs. The Tick." At first I was a little disappointed in it; I wanted to see some meaningful connections drawn between the two. Once I got over my expectations, though, I loved it. Very funny!
Hey, don't worry about quoting the same line as someone else. Sometimes one particular moment just clicks with people. Thanks for taking the time to review!

Aww, shucks! Thanks for the compliments. I kept thinking about Illyria as "Big Blue," and wanting to see her with my favorite big blue guy. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

How funny and cute! (And a little sad for Illyria there at the end, of course.) I really enjoyed reading this. Thank you for writing it and putting it up!
Comments from author:
Thanks for your kind review. It was a litttle sad for Illyria, but I hope that the sheer silliness of the Tick helps a little with that. :o)

I absolutely adore the Tick and you've caught his personally very well! I'm still chuckling over the Tick's description of the soul. "Without a soul, where did she hang her morals, her sense of right and wrong, her love of rainbows and puppies?" So very simple and yet so perfect a description of a soul. Very nicely done.

Thanks! I'm glad there are other Tick fans here who enjoy my little scene.
:o)
