Wow! Dark in terms of grief, but knowing that the Summers women had at least ONE other man who cared for them (aside from Xander, Spike, and Giles) actually feels like a bright spot, no matter how bloody things turned out for everyone except Dawn in the end.

I generally watch for the work you do and somehow I TOTALLY missed this one - I *love* this. I hadn't followed *Marvel* stuff in ages - I'm totally into DC especially Batman now - but when I was reading Marvel on a regular basis I liked three things in particular - Thor/Thunderstrike, X-men, and Nick Fury.

Thanks for bringing back that particular thrill. I actually missed it.

Good working of the pairing. The introspective parts of the first chapter are my favorites. I heart me some Nick Fury (although with Ultimate Nick Fury, it's become hard for me to picture him as anyone but Sammuel Jackson!)
