Review of chapter "Chapter 12; Justice." from (Current Donor)Listener
Review:
But for some minor things that jolted me out of the story a bit, I found this to be a fun and enjoyable piece. As someone who'd never even heard of St Trinian's, I still found it easy to follow and enjoy.

With the porridge, I really thought you were going to take the "Better Off Dead" route, not "Terminator 2".

EDIT -- it was mostly the comma and capitalization issues. They're in most of the later stories, but the stories themselves are humorous enough to ignore them.
Comments from author:
Thank-you, even though this is an old story I'd be interested in hearing what 'jolted' you out of the story. Come-on, you can't just say something like that and not give me more information :-)!!!

The old St Trinians films (the ones in black and white) were far beter than the newer ones, at least that's what I think.

Never saw, 'Better Off Dead' (I shall look it up on IMDB later) so Terminator 2 it was.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
Gladiator, Beatles references, Dirty Harry and a Porridgeman what more could anyone want. And let's not forget Christina's heritage.

Thanks again for a great story, very entertaining!
Comments from author:
Gladiator? No, sorry can't remember that...the others yes, Gladiator no.

I loved the old B&W St Trinians films and one day I'm going back to try writing another one, but no time travel this time.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
St T's, Willow, Kennedy, what's not to like? I have to say I feel for the bad guys who seem to have entirely reasonable goals - the French and Scots are entirely valid targets for evil plotting. Nice to find out the derivation of 'Dagenham' too - one of those small mysteries of life to a Northerner. I think 'two stops past barking' sums this up rather well. Very good though; pity you weren't hired to write the new film.
Comments from author:
Thank-you for your nice review.

Have to say I was a great fan of the old B/W St. T's films. I've seen the new film and I didn't think it was too bad (it was better than I expected let's put it that way) and I'm considering doing an xover for it using my Slaughtered Lambs/ London Slayers series. We'll have wait and see.

Anyway, glad you liked it.

All the best,
DaveT.

Review of chapter "Chapter 8; The Porridgeman." from Abryxis
Review:
You claimed to be inspired by Terminator 2.

I would have taken bets you got the idea from Dogma. I gotta admit, your description of Porridgeman did give me a momentary flash of the Golgothan Shit Demon. This is great stuff.
Comments from author:
Glad you liked the story, I enjoyed writing it, a lot! Even with the power cut that nearly wiped a whole chapter!!!

Sorry never saw 'Dogma' so it's T2 in the metal works I'm afraid.

All the best,
DaveT.

Review of chapter "Chapter 12; Justice." from Traveler
Review:
Over the past couple of days I have read all the stories in the Willow-Kennedy series. I found them well written and funny. All I can say is I now will be tracking all your stories so I will not miss any of the reading joy. Thanks for sharing with us a talent that this review shows I clearly lack.
Comments from author:
Don't put yourself down!

But thank for the review, new stories out soon.

All the best,

Review:
So, your basic position is, all unvarnished toes are evil?
A little bummed that the demon didn't get his pint, but otherwise quite a satisfying finish.
Comments from author:
I though that everyone knew that unvarnished toes are evil! The black robes are a bit of a give away too.

Poor old demon, victim of the old licensing laws: Basically if you're thirsty the pubs are shut!

Anyway that's all for Will & Ken 'till January. December look out for 'London Slayers' a new series first story called 'Big Girl's Rules'.

All the best,
Dave.

Review:
Excellent story! Loved the guest staring role of the Goddess Morrigan. No story can have too many female redheads in it. I thought the Bad Guy's eternal punishment was very appropriate, but I think he should get a tea break every thousand years or so for his insight into the French character. As Mark Twain once wrote, "Poor Humanity. Stuck halfway between the Angels and the French!" And I really liked Willow's previously unknown ability to pick out evil toes. For all the bloodshed and violence, this was a totally delightful story and I look forward to your next one with much anticipation.

PS I don't know if there is a word for an English actor's false American accent, but I've heard some real beauties over the years. Lol!
Comments from author:
Thank-you for your jolly nice review.

English actors: yes I know what you mean. A TV station over here called Five US (Only shows old US shows) The continuity announcer does a dreadful US accent! There should be a name for terrible Irish accents as well!

The 'Mrs Fitzsimons' series of stories starts about the beginning of December. Next Will&Ken story; around January 07.

All the best,
Dave.

PS; Morrigan has two sisters, one of whom appears to be the goddess of bar fights!

Review of chapter "Chapter 10; St. Trinians Day Eve." from litmouse
Review:
Funny stuff. And of course, very punny as well which I always enjoy. Particularly liked the demon-in-a-blazer image, and the two demons themselves. Maybe they meet up with Giles later at the pub? Neutral territory?

Looking forward to the big finale.

And since you mentioned it, as person of very definite Jewish heritage who loves a good BLT, and who knows a lot more Jews who don't follow archaic dietary laws than Jews who do, I wouldn't worry to much about Ira's California grown wiccan daughter eating of the pig. If Buffy can serve her hand-cut prosciutto you can give her a bacon sandwich.
Comments from author:
Thanks about the bacon thing...load off my mind. But if I hadn't put that disclamer in someone would have called me on it.

Sheesh!

Last part coming up shortly....very shortly.

all the best,
Dave.

Review:
With all the terrible, terrible Beatle puns you wrote in this update you know you are going to that special Hell with all the child molesters and people who talk in theaters, don't you? Still an excellent story, by the way. In the last update I loved: “I suppose you have a time-machine hidden around here? Perhaps in that police box over there?” You made me expel Mt Dew through my nose again with this gem. But I can't wait for Ken to put paid to the wanker in the cellar. Put Willow in danger? What a maroon!
Comments from author:
Assuming I can get to my computer/internet connection; the final, and rather messy two chapters will be posted on Saturday. All loose ends will be tidied up and plotlines brought to a sudden stop!
There will be happy endings....for some!

After that...who knows...actually I do bet I'm keeping it a secret!

Thanks for the nice reviews.

All the best,
Dave.

Review of chapter "Chapter 8; The Porridgeman." from litmouse
Review:
Funny, I don't remember a porridgeman in T2. A ladle is good, perhaps squirting melted butter and/or honey would act like holy water on a vamp?... :) I kept thinking the porridgeman would be the perfect villain to fight The Tick...

Fun stuff. Mixing the absurd with the evil and still working nicely, but how are we supposed to root against the bad guy if his ultimate goal is to take over Scotland and be mean to the French?

As you can see, these chapters made me want talk back to them, in a good way, so, well done.

Best, litmouse
Comments from author:
For Sarah Conner and shotgun in the iron foundry scene read Ruby in the dinning hall with the ladle.

I like to give some of my villains traits that people can sympathies with to make them question their own beliefs (or I could be just evil and enjoy messing with peoples minds). MAW-HA-HA!

The more I think about it the more likely I think that The Porridgeman will return. bit like Dracula in all those Hammer House of Horror films in the 60's + 70's.

I think Doris might make a guest appearance at some point too.

Anyway, its good to talk back...thinking GOOD!Not thinking BAD!
Resistance is never futile.
We live for The One, we die for The One.

Review of chapter "Chapter 8; The Porridgeman." from CPTSkip
Review:
The horror! The horror! After the really evil scenes with the human sacrifice, even if it was one of the evil henchwomen, the porridgeman was lots of fun. I'm just glad Ruby made it out alive. Very clever thinking on her part. And now in the words of another seeker after porridge, "Some more, please?"
Comments from author:
The Porridgeman will make another appearence.

Last two postings;Thursday and maybe Saturday.

All the best,
Dave.

The Porridgeman will return. In fact he might return in a story set in the 'here and now' we'll see.

Review of chapter "Chapter 6; "'ello, 'ello; what's all this then?"" from litmouse
Review:
Moving along nicely. Of course especially interest to see how the Giles/Willow line works out but hitting on all cylinders.
So, is the lost library tribe yours or from the original ST. T?

Looking forward to the next installment.
Comments from author:
The Library Tribe is just the type of thing that the younger St. T's girls would have done. The school was honeycombed with secret passages an' stuff so the girls were able to turn up anywhere!

More today(Tuesday).

All the best,
Dave T.
