Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty-three" from DieselDriver
Review:
I hate to think what would have happened to that servitor if he'd just gone and done what he let on he would do. OuOuoUouch!

Review:
"awesome review from Speaker-to-Customers." Hey! I think that's cheating. LOL

"Slit me own throat Dibbler" would be proud to set up a hotdog stand near the coming battle. I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that one.
Comments from author:
I really was a big name on alt.games.baldurs-gate at that time. In fact Westley Weimer, creator of several of the best BG2 mods including the one that upgrades Celestial Fury, once said "If you can get Speaker-to-Customers on your side that brings half of the group with him; if you can get Htn963 that brings the other half." And the other name I mention, BarbarianX, was of similar standing.

I'm sure Riley's question raised a round of "Huh's" didn't it?

Then they all chorus: "DOCTOR WHO???"

Review:
Using Pat Benatar's Shadows of the Night for Shar is pure genius. I took a second to look over the lyrics and it was surprising how well they applied. Well done.
Comments from author:
Thank you!

Some of the songs for the other gods have required more work; I've spent more than a year re-writing the lyrics of the song for Eilistraee to preserve the original feel while becoming relevant to the Drow and I've only just finished. Nearly as long on the song for Vhaeraun. And I'm still not totally happy with my choice for Mielikki. But Mystra was easy, thanks to Queen, and Alice Cooper and REM respectively have provided the perfect songs for Talona and for Ilmater.

Review:
I'm on a re-read of your series, and I just noticed an inconsistency in this chapter, since you've later established that "Okay" is not a common word in the realms.

Imoen pouted. “Okay,” she said. “I’ll make do with scrolls. And the Monster Summoning wand the vampire wizard dropped.”

Or am I thinking too hard about it? (I'm not trying to be a jerkass pedant, I swear! love your work!)
Comments from author:
Thanks! It was just a slip by me; I've corrected it so that she now says 'Very well.'

Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from Zarohk
Review:
“In all the sci-fi books it’s things like, well, gunpowder that the space travelers bring to the primitive planets. We’re more into the clothing and entertainment side. The bra, fancy hats, rock and roll, and now the six-string guitar.”
I love this because it directly connects to the Discworld reference before. Yet another fantasy world with Rock and Roll. Hopefully Giles' music doesn't come alive like that.

Thank you.

Review:
I know this is a really old story and all, but could you give some detail about the cryptic remark by Spike about the invading army having elephants then they should have a hot dog stand and why it's funny?

even after all this time it's still a good story. I'm on my second read of the series.
Comments from author:
It's a reference to Terry Pratchett's 'Moving Pictures', in which the hot-dog salesman C.M.O.T. Dibbler becomes a movie mogul and is obsessed with making an epic film which must feature a thousand elephants.

I too must claim you are evil. Though Debt of Blood is good, very good, even a few chapters in, I want know how Tabula Avatar ends dammit!

I feel for Sorkatani and Buffy, neither of them seems to be able to catch a break on the front of love.

Thanks very much.

Rocks fall, everybody dies. No, wait, that's 'Neverwinter Nights 2'. Buffy and Dawn are definitely still alive as of the spring of 1375 DR (it's autumn 1369 DR in the most recent chapter of TA). For news of everyone else, you'll just have to wait - but I'm busy writing the next chapter now and I'm making good progress.

Review:
Gyah! You are COMPLETELY evil! And I see that the continuation only has six chapters. *whimper* Well, I've read through up to this point in three days, so I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and read section three as a WIP, despite my severe allergy to those things. :-p

Thank you for this series, I'm enjoying the living daylights out of it!

ETA: Ah, I see! Cool! I get to go and read the SG-1 bits of this story and THEN start in on section 3 of Tabula Avater. That'll work! I'll just have to remind myself to parcel it out as a treat now and then rather than sitting for hours at a time and devouring it (bad habit of mine with truly good stories, be they fanfic or published books). ;)
Comments from author:
Thank you!

I wrote 'Debt of Blood' avoiding 'Tabula Avatar' spoilers as much as possible. However a couple of things that crop up in it will make more sense if 'The Whole of the Moon' and 'Dangerous Moonlight' are read first.

I really enjoyed your story, unfortunately it seems you have abandoned Part 3... I'm not sure if I want to continue now. Thanks for the most enjoyable read.
Comments from author:
Thank you. No, I definitely haven't abandoned Part 3. I took a year out to write 'Debt of Blood' quite deliberately; the Buffy crowd are just about to meet one of DoB's central characters and I decided that writing them in this order would be the best way of ensuring compatibility between the character in the two stories. Now DoB is out of the way I'm returning to 'Tabula Avatar' and 'A Plague of Serpents' - APoS got priority, at first, because I'd already written the end of Chapter 6 a year ago and I wanted to bring the story up to that piece. Now I've done that I'm returning to 'Tabula Avatar' right away.
