Review of chapter "Dinner with the Staff" from purrfus
Very interesting idea, and the work so far is intriguing, but not having any of the back story is frustrating. The summary says Spike is evil so we could assume he was responsible, and maybe we are meant to, but the slayer has so many enemies. If you don't want to give everything away at once, when using a traumatic, non-canon incident as the starting point, then a few lines in the beginning would be a big help; explaining all of the back story in flashbacks is a very difficult technique to pull of and requires extra care with the first few chapters while it is being established.

Review of chapter "Dinner with the Staff" from littleoldme
This is an interesting idea, and well-written for the most part, but none of the characters seem quite right to me. Snape isn't quite sinister enough, Dobby's dialogue is a bit off, and I think you're just missing the right balance between Buffy's bitterness and her typical Buffiness. I have a hard time buying that anything could cripple a slayer- she can recover from normal broken bones within a day; it's difficult to imagine that anything short of dismemberment would slow her down. Plus, doesn't the wizarding community have some healing spell that could take care of that for her?

I think the idea of this fic is interesting, but you're setting yourself up for a very difficult task by setting it at an AU point along the canon. Instead of being able to work off of some sadness or situation that we've seen in the canon, you've invented your own, but in doing so, you've made it very difficult for yourself to write Buffy in character. I'm sure that the events that happened before this fic started would have changed her, but if you start a fic with a character being so changed that he/she isn't himself/herself, that's not really a good thing. As a reader, I want to see Buffy evolve into the person she is now, and even with references to Willow's death and Buffy's captivity, I don't quite buy it. We've seen what Buffy is like in sorrow, what she's like when she's been mentally tortured, etc. We've seen her pulled out of heaven, and we've seen her lose the most important thing in the world to her. So where does your Buffy fit in with that? She has to fit in somewhere, and I'm not getting a sense of how your Buffy and canon Buffy are the same person at all.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from BlueEyedJedi
So Spike will be showing his true colors in this. Play on I am intrigued. For my money Spike has always been evil. Writing him any other way is not accurate to his character. Spike is frequently useful, but then so is a rattlesnake, (They make good eating and good Leather) treat him as such.

Review of chapter "Chapter 2" from mithrilandtj
Interesting, but more back story would be nice. (i.e. what happened to Buffy's leg?)

Like where in BtVS is this occuring? Is it post season 7 or sometime before?

Keep going.
