Review:
That was funny, but way too close to home...

Note: I started out trying to make a funny review, but in retrospect I guess it just isn't all that funny the way black men are portrayed.

And in fan fiction, what I see most often is that any positive black characters from a series tend to get killed off sooner or later, usually sooner... Gunn and Wood in particular in the Buffy/Angelverse. (Maybe it's because the mostly white? writers don't feel they can write a good black character, don't care, or really just want them gone.)

The only exception to this rule is Teal'c who I guess is just too strong to kill, but he's playing an alien, so maybe he's not really 'black.'

And on screen _and_ in fan fiction somehow the black guy/girl cannot ever end up with the nice white girl/guy, no that would be wrong.... Since I'm half of a biracial couple that really annoys me.

My original review:

Since I'm one of the melanin-ed ones,

I have to give you props... I mean, I'm soooooo tired seeing the black guy as the 'good minion' of our hero or... (so very often) the black guy dies (SW ep III), die (buffy) lose the girl (angel) lose the girl (White guys cant jump) lose the girl (insert tv or movie name here)... even vanish from the series without explanation. die, lose the girl, die... lose the girl... oh, are we seeing a pattern here...

Oh and where the hell are the black women? Oh never mind if they show up they... die (buffy) suck up, die (ghost whisperer), die... die... die...

Damn that sounds angry. Well, I'm not an angry person by nature, but you know this story is funny, but way too true. Guess it cuts a little...

Frakkin' hilarious ;p

Long live the Meeting of Disgruntled Black Guys and be a great friend. Parking garages are nice, too.

This story rocks! I was laughing out loud throughout it. The shape-shifter bra reference is genius as well as the "Love at First Bite" one. Great job!.

"Just what I've seen in the movies," Josh said. "Drinking blood, turning into bats, disco-dancing --"

"Disco?" Leo frowned.

"-- in Love at First Bite," Josh said. "I'll just be quiet now."
