Lol! Great little story. Buckaroo Banzai is one of my all time favorite movies and I don't think the Good Doctor and his Cavaliers have been crossed with BtVS enough. I hope additional plot bunnies eventually nibble at your imagination and we see more of Dr. Banzai and the rest of his crew visiting Sunnydale.

That was cute, I'd forgotten Buckaroo Banzai. Now, just to prove what a totally useless memory I have, wasn't it The Baker Street Irregulars? Like Sherlock Holmes?

"The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension" - a Comedy! What are you thinking?! It was a classic, a triumph a ... hey wait a second maybe it was a Comedy. Damn it there goes another one another of my childhood illusions, just like when I found out that the 60's Batman series was supposed to be funny.
On the other hand the movie could be viewed as a completely serious homage to the pulps and serials of the '30s, '40s and '50s. Come on think about it. Doesn't Buckaroo Baznazi just beg to be out a list that starts out with Doc Savage, The Phantom, The Shadow, Flash Gordon, Indian Jones ...
In any case another fine story from you. Good work and if you want to continue it or do something in a similar vien I did post a Buffy/Doc Savage challenge a while back.
