I tend to like Inuyasha fanfic more than the original, in large part b/c in fanfic they can be portrayed as acutally mature, 3-D characters. Promises is one such.

Wow. How sad. One of the few times he lets his real emotions show and it's to tell her that. Ouch. Looking forward to more from this series. Oh, and if it's not an imposition, can you recommend any other Inuyasha/Kagome centered fics? The rating doesn't matter, just that the story be well-written. Thanks so much.

I've had a hard time finding decent Inuyasha fanfic -- so many of the writers are kids that finding anything with some real emotional understanding is hard. However, I haven't had much time to search recently because I am up to my eyeballs in a web dev project at the moment ... I'm sure there's some out there.

There's an Inuyasha Fanfic Guild but I haven't figured out where the listing is for the past winners. Might be a place to start.
