I absolutely adore these small vignettes; they manage to convey a feel for your characters, they fill out your main story "When it changes", but does it without killing the momentum of that story (as it might well have done, had you placed these journal excerpts in the main story). I love the bits of humour that shine through in certain of the journal entries, and together they provide a lovely picture of the relationship which exists between your characters, as well as giving an impression of the personality of each of your characters.
