What can I say? This is an amazing story. Illyria made a great impact with the 7 Angel episodes she appeared in and you've fleshed out her character while still keeping her *in* character. Illyria, it must be said, is a bit of a Mary-Sue except she has style, wit and intelligence that most of that ilk don't have, and you wisely don't always have her centre stage so the other characters get to have their turn in the spotlight. And the nice thing is, there are sequels to this story which I am going to read very soon :)

One would think the limiting factor in the fires would be oxygen rather than fuel, I would expect removing the cap to re-ignite the cavern, at the very least, the air shouldn’t be breathable, heat, smoke, or lack of Oxygen..

This story, and the entire series...FANTASTIC.

Boy you are one frightening writer with all the ways they came up with to kill vamps! Very nice done with the story. You made Blue into a real character with real motivations. I can't really see Glory toe the straight and narrow even with Ria there to keep her in line.

Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

You have a real gift for dialogue. I was laughing out loud at what the characters were saying to each other. I really think it was just as good as on the original show. And there are 4 more stories in the saga that I haven't read yet! I'm really looking forward to it.

Not sure why I hadn't read this before, but whatever the reason I'm glad that I finally go around to it.

I'm a big fan of stories where the good guys get their act together and get organized, so this was pretty great. Illyria is always fun when well written, and I'm enjoying your version of her character quite a bit.

It's always interesting, seeing a how would we really do this if it wasn't a show. I enjoyed the whole hey let's actually activate the potentials then give them some practice before sending them in to die. And the phalanx was a nice touch.

It's Hotpoint fanon, the only mention of Connor's body temp is I believe when Illyria said he warmed for her ;-)

I just like to inject some logical reasoning in there occasionally, like having the slayer line being a genetic trait.

I started over from the beginning and read all the way through.

There are a couple of rough spots, but you've created a realistic (if one can use that word anywhere near fan fic) alternate reality. The character voices are believable and consistent throughout. The action scenes are fantastic. And your humor comes out all over the place.

From "Death or Glory" at the start,

Surely here there's a category to win,
From a fic with a Firefly and River within.
Please Dr Suess, don't kill me yet,
Hotpoint's got another chapter on the way, I bet.

(I blame someone other than me for that previous,
Everyone knows to encourage me is quite grievous.)

I won't bother rhyming but I have considered a revamp of the Death or Glory series of late. it's just finding the time I'm afraid.
