i think you've done an admirable job with this. i'm really interested in seeing whether, despite both party's efforts, if the bad guys learn of their shared connection...and the resulting shockwaves that come of it.

Buffy is going into the Mountain ill prepared, and emotionally upset.
There is not sufficient reason shown to the reader, why Buffy needs to visit the SGC. There is not sufficient reason shown to the reader, why Buffy is that upset with the SGC.
Buffy is presented as someone emotionally unstable, who likes to throw around her power. Normally she and Giles should be read into the SGC, without having to visit that place, and without any personal confrontation. The only acceptable exception would be that the classification of the SGC is so high, that it can only be talked about on site.

I would have expected "half sister" here, and in the following text. It makes a hell of a difference.
As they grew up in different families, socially Sam is more like a cousin than a sister to Buffy. Of course inheritance rules and marriage rules are different.
Why would Willow feeling lied to. Sam is Buffy's half sister, Sam grew up in a different family, and it is a very private thing. It would be a different matter if Buffy and Willow ever had paired up. I would have expected Buffy to tell her significant other a while before any engagement.

Argh! Another great story that I found... only yet again it hasn't been updated in forever!!!! The one pet peeve I have on this site. I think yoiu really niled the character of buffy and the confilct between tryin to protect her girls and answer hammond's questions. Why did Jacob/Selmak have such a cold look when he saw her after coming through the gate? was it Jacob or Selamk who had the reaction? (would be interesting if Slemak could somehow "sense " the Slayer essence). I would like to see more of disclosure to the sgc people - such as perhaps video/survellaince of the final battle at the Intiative base. Any how, the story is great,and I am very very disappointed that this hasn't been updated in over a year!!!! Come on!!! Please tell us you are still writing at least! I really think you should update soonest! Keep up the good work!
