Review of chapter "Wendigo, Banshee, Vampire, Dog and Man" from Tobin
Review:
Hi there....great story. I like how you used dialogue between the sisters to bring their personalities out. I could see in my mind the action taking place, and having Willow turn evil again in front of them was awesome. The only thing I would suggest is that during that encounter, the Charmed Ones do a little bit more than just chant the Power of Three spell. Let Willow see the extent of what all three of them can do. I wrote a similar story, based on the same set of circumstances, but it was a re-telling of BtVS season six finale when Willow goes dark. I took some timeline liberties. It would be great for you to do a follow-up story where maybe Willow comes and helps them battle some really powerful demon or something like that. Take care...and great job!

At least Red made up for what she did. And I think she earned some respect from the sisters. Now, lets see what happens when they go to Sunnydale!

Review:
A short chapter, but at least Tara is trying to get through to Willow. Even Paige is beginning to realize that Willow must have loved her greatly to be affected like this.

I should have known that if anyone could calm Red down, it would be Tara. Now, lets see if Red will calm down enough to listen to what the sisters and Leo have to say.

OI VEY! DEF CON 1! DEFCON1! Willow is starting to head back into her Dark Aspect! The sisters had best be prepared to either figure a way to stop her, or GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!

Great story. I'm a little suspicious about the whole "bullet through the heart kills instantly" thing, because medically, I'm not sure that's true. The heart pumps blood to the rest of the body, and if someone gets shot in the heart, it would affect the efficiency with which the blood pumped, and the person would probably bleed out pretty quickly, but they wouldn't die instantaneously- the blood that is already in the arteries would deliver oxygen to the necessary body parts, and without the heart pumping, your body would eventually suffocate, but that would take some measure of time to happen. I mean, if people's hearts stop beating and they flatline, doctors use those paddle things to try to get the heart going again, so even if a bullet to the heart cause the heart so much damage that it stopped pumping, there would still be SOME time to save the person, if you had healing powers. A bullet to the brain could kill instantly, but I don't think a bullet to the heart can, at least not in the way portrayed in this fic.

That said, it's fanfiction, so i can suspend disbelief. You seem to have a good sense for both canons and write the characters well. I'm a little iffy on Willow going evil just at the mention of the Whitelighter thing, but the character acknowledges that she's surprised that she did that, too, so I can buy it. Nice fic.

Thanks for the review.

While a bullet to the heart may not cause instantaneous death since there still is blood with oxygen in the vessels in the brain, there also is the devastating trauma of the bullet tearing into, and through the heart. And since nerve impulses can travel as fast a 200 - 300 feet per second, then this trauma could impact brain functions in 100th of a second or less.

So, even if a dozen Whitelighters were present -- would they be able to react fast enough?

But thanks for giving me something to think about. (You *know* I have to defend my position) : - )

“So, then actually just you and Buffy have the powers, and the rest are just along for the ride?” Paige asked.

“Well, sort of."

Is she really stupid enough to believe this after all this time?
Comments from author:
I presume you're talking about Willow and not Paige.
Mainly, she was responding to the power thing.
I always felt that Willow knew she was actually the most powerful of the Scoobies, Buffy included. And since none of them were around to have their feelings hurt, why not blow your horn some? And don't forget, she added Spike in the very next breath.
But really, except for research, and Anya's knowledge of demons and dimensions, there really isn't much Xander and Anya could contribute, except moral support.

Review:
an emotional turbulent, but somehow still sweet story, very fitting for the Willow/Tara romance and written in the style of Charmed episodes.
Very good story.
Comments from author:
Thank you.

When I started out writing the story, I was more interested in the Evil Willow/Charmed Ones conflict, but somehow after that was kind of resolved, the Willow/Tara part of it just -- happened.

I'm happy you liked it.

Review:
Waaaah! Why'd you end it so abruptly? The interaction was good, I liked the way they comforted her. No denials, just 'Well, yeah, but hey! We've all been evil too!' I noticed that this is the first part in a series, puh-lease continue it with more Charmed/ White-Lightery goodness! There really aren't enough Charmed crossovers on this site!

Danke

Thanks for the review.
The reason it ended "so abruptly" was because I don't pad my stories with extras. When I feel like I've written the tale I wanted to tell and the plot has been finalized, I end it. But that doesn't mean that a sequel can't be spun off from the events of the first story.
So -- another story IS coming, just working out the details. (I always want to write the best story I can.)

Review:
This story is very fun to read. I especially enjoyed the Willow-Goes-Veiny bit. Kinda want to know what she'll do once the Source gets wind of her 'Short Vacation.' Actually at this point in your little tale I'
m hoping for a Speedy Relocation, can't Willow move to SanFran? In canon, Buffy and Co. didn't trust her with the skin-peely thing, can't she hang out with the Charmed ones and get a White-Lighter honey of her own? Pretty Please?

Keep up the good work,
Danke

Hi, and thanks for the review.
Some good suggestions, could result in some interesting events, for future stories. A Whitelighter lover for Willow? Has possibilities.

Review:
uh...that was quick. And i didn't like the assaulkt between willow and the charmed one. For me, the charmed one magic is pure and untrained, while willow's is trained and complex. She should be able to pick up the threa that link them and break them. ah well....
Comments from author:
Sometimes you just can't draw out an encounter. It happens, you do the best you can, then deal with the aftermath.

Willow's attack on TCO was pure rage and fury, no planning to it.

TCO's defense was the same as against The Seer in the ep 'Womb Raider' when they are trapped in the cage when she stole Phoebe's unborn baby.

Often the best offense is a good defense.

Knowing witchcraft, Piper knew that nothing could defeat 'The Power of Three' spell. And she figured (hoped) that sooner or later Willow's powers would start to diminish.

Everyone has their darkside, Willow's is a bit darker than the rest of us. But maybe someone will be there for her.
