Faith/Rodney is one of my all time favorite pairings, just because of the way you write them and this story is one of the main reasons why. I'm glad I decided to reread this story before the sequel you recently posted so that I can leave proper feedback here.

Oh YEY! Rodney not as a fumbling guy, but as the brilliant man he is. Thank you for writing this. Not only is it lovely smut, but Rodney and Faith's personalities are written so, so well. Both characters tend to get shortchanged and stereotyped in fanfic. It's a pleasure to read them as real, rounded characters.

It's the second connecting that made me laugh. I've always said Faith is actually pretty smart - just in a load of non-traditional, non-book ways. Rodney would have quite a time with that...she's brilliant in a million ways he's never considered valuing before.

Okay, I thought nothing could be hotter than Jinni's Faith/McKay slam-bang story, but your Faith-and-Rodney-actually-make-a-mental-as-well-as-physical-connection follow-up on the "Writing on the Wall" story has totally converted me. And, like Rodney and Faith, I can definitely live with that!

I was laughing as we got going on this "porn off" because I knew, even with the same pairing and the sacred mission to write PORN, our fics weren't going to turn out anything alike. Faith's not particularly patient, but I'd like to think she could have some fun playing cat and mouse with someone with whom the pay off might be worth it. Someone like...oh, Rodney?

For me PWP has always meant "Porn with Plot". I can't get away from looking for those little character quirks that would make one character want another or that would add some little twist that would make any horizontal action something unique to those two characters.

At first I wasn't entirely sure what to think about this story, wasn't even sure I was going to read it. But then something compelled me too and well... I got hooked and from what I can tell your characterisations were spot on too.

About the only thing I can find to complain about is that there isn't anymore to this story.

I feel especially flattered to have won someone over rather than just "Ooh! Faith/Rodney - yes please!". These two are too fun to write for me to leave them languishing for long.
