I have to say, 'Deep man'.

Always fun to argue about time travel, best done when drunk so it doesn't hurt your head. Who's to say what the 'right' history is anyway?

Great piece of writing, great idea. Thanks for sharing.

All the best,

Review of chapter "Together, Not Alone" from (Current Donor)Sulien
"No matter who wore the actual patch in future, or whether they ever gathered like this again, *this* was SG-1, and the ties they'd forged over the last eight and ten years went deeper than blood and bone."

A resounding YES!!!!!! As much as I love Stargate SG-1, I really wish that they had left it at season 8. I'd do quite a bit to erase the series finale from my mind, and the last two seasons along with it. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story, which goes a ways to taking some of the bad taste out of my mouth.

Also, I don't know if you're aware of it or not, but there is a Live Journal community called sg1_ever_after, which would be a perfect place to post this fic if you're interested!

Wonderful, thoughtful piece! I especially appreciated Daniel's reflections on the hardships that the time-traveling SG1 would've experienced, staying in the past. That plotline always bothered me, because of the lack of any acknowledgement of the tragic aspects of SG1's fate in ancient Egypt (even with Sam and Jack finally making out in the back of the time-travelling puddle-jumper at the conclusion of the episode). But I think my favorite part was Daniel's realization about the unacceptable sacrifices Ascension required and about the "no matter where we go, we'll never be divided in spirit" nature of SG1.
