Review of chapter "Mandatory Survival" from yoyoente
Review:
Ooooo! Is this running along the same timeline that Supernatural is? 'Cause if so, then Dean is 20 and Sam is 16. Will she meet them? Or are you jumping it a bit so it's after Sam's gone to Stanford and Dean is off hunting on his own.
I can just picture those two meeting....*drools*
Comments from author:
I don't think John would leave Sam and Dean alone for the amount of time it would have taken to track down Buffy and then help her out in California if Sam was still in school so it would have to take place sometime after Sam left for Stanford. There is a possibility for more of this 'verse since I do adore wish!Buffy.

Review:
Your Buffy is so weary and bleak here. The line where she says she has a lot of scars, what's one more rang with such resignation. So much packed into so little. Loved it. :)
Comments from author:
Wow, you're really playing catch-up on the reviewing and I you love for it. ;) Hee!

Wish!Buffy just holds a place in my heart of hearts and I can't forget about her. I have another fic planned and mostly written starring her. She's definitely complex and the lack of background makes her interesting in the same way I find Faith fascinating. *nods* Expect lots more Wish!Buffy from me.

Have I ever told you I love your writing? Cause I do. It's so evocative and the descriptions so vivid that I can see and feel everything that's happening. Buffy's emotions were all conveyed very well. And I have to admire John for considering taking her away from Pryce when he knows so little about her and what she is. Especially since this Buffy isn't exactly all heart and roses in her attitude.

Thank you for posting this!
Comments from author:
Not that I recall, but thank you! I'm trying and I know sometimes it doesn't come off quite right or as I intended, but I'm still learning and evolving into, hopefully, a better writer. Yeah, John gets brownie points for wanting to take on Buffy. Thank you for taking the time to review!

I'm so happy to see this chapter completing your story. Giles had a heart, letting them know that Buffy could be off the radar screen of the Watchers Council if they wanted. I love the chemistry between the three of them and as I said before, this Wishverse Buffy is a favorite of mine.
Comments from author:
Each chapter has been a short story adding onto this 'verse and I think there's more inside my muse so don't be too surprised if I add to this again sometime. Giles in that episode seemed more guarded, but still a believer and more then a little frustrated with the Watcher's Council and their lack of effort with the Sunnydale Hellmouth. Seemed fitting that he helped one Slayer slip free while going to help watch another's back - plus I have a soft spot of Faith. The three do seem to play well off each other. Though I'm still nervous for when John and Buffy are left alone because Pastor Jim will have to get back to his flock at some point. Thank you for taking the time to review!

"The last thing she needed was another lecture from Pryce about stealth, considering he screamed like a woman whenever faced with non-controlled circumstances".

And in that instant I realised it was Wishverse Buffy, (my favourite Buffy) I loved your ending too.
Comments from author:
Thank you. I didn't start liking Buffy until that episode and I realized there might just be some depth to her character if she could turn into that nifty of one without the Scoobies present.

Cough/ ...that was...good.
Why I am apprehensive with John and Buffy working together?
They will kill each oder or starting to like eachoter...
When in Supernatural is this...pre season one, or just about?
Comments from author:
Thank you! It's happening during season 1 and John won't like Buffy right at the get go which is why Pastor Jim will have to tag along at first. Make sure they don't kill each other.

I really enjoy the twist you're putting on some of the cannon events. I had chills while reading along as Buffy fought and died...Shudder...It was so realistic!. On a lighter note, I thought it was humorous that Buffy and Pastor Jim were of the same opinion of Wesley. I love this Buffy who kicks ass but realize that it must be lonely for her. I hope that she'll connect with John and Pastor Jim and have their support. Thanks for another chapter in the Wishverse and I hope you'll continue.
Comments from author:
The main thing that irked me during "Prophecy Girl" was that Xander restarted her heart by just preforming CPR. That just doesn't happen in real life and I know that it's television and I should ignore small inconsistencies but I wanted to retell it realistically. Hence John, as a marine, I would assume know he was just keeping her body functioning until help could arrive.

Pastor Jim had so little screen time that I get to fiddle with his character and stretch him to fit the series while John is a more calculating individual that may or may not choose to trust Buffy. She's still a complete stranger to him but the small fact of the Demon wanting her dead may endear her to him at least a little.

Thanks for taking the time to review!

Review:
I really like this story because the Wish World Buffy was so friendless and lonely. I think it will help her to at least one or two people she can count to help her, though she did sound a little disappointed to be alive.

As with all your stories I can't wait for you to update!
Comments from author:
This Buffy had Wesley and as annoying as he can be I do think he'd mourn her passing and I tried to convey that but at the same time he's not a people person and his attempts to connect with his charge fall flat.

You caught the disappointed? I can always count on you catching the small subplots I throw into a story. It just makes the hard work worth it!

Love it Ava! Glad to see you added another chapter to wishverse Buffy's life. I like Pastor Jim and John showing up and reviving her in the cemetary. Love her reaction to John and his to her as well. OF course, don't hate them running old council bound Wes out of the room. I like Wes, but loved it once he found himself. Best thing that ever happened to him was getting fired I think. Regardless I really like Pastor Jim deciding Buffy didn't need to continue to be alone in her fight and I imagine he wanted John to realize he didn't need to be alone in his fight either. The two of them could make a helluva team. Hoping you'll add another story to this collection, I'm kind of curious about the trouble they could find between Cleaveland and Sunnydale, not to mention their meeting with Giles.
Comments from author:
Pastor Jim is going to be in the next installment because I'm worried what John and wish!Buffy would do to each other if left without a buffer. (and I surprisingly don't mean that in a sexual way)

Though once they get over their own issues of fighting alone they're going to kick major ass and that'll probably be when I throw the wrench that is Sam and Dean into the story. ;)
