Review of chapter "Chapter One" from jennzabelle
Review:
That was an interesting take on the Faith/Tru situation. I liked the line about Giles' answer being simpler than Buffy's for once. For concrit, you could use a few more details about how Faith became Tru and how the characters from Tru Calling were drafted into Faith's life or vice versa. It's a nice drabble, but it's an interesting premise that deserves some more development. How does Faith feel about returning to Boston? Do Tru's rewound days feel like Slayer visions? What is it like for such an intensely solitary character in the Buffyverse to suddenly inherit friends and family? What's the conflict that guides Faith-as-Tru? Tru's conflict was always 'normal' life vs. the responsibility of knowing the outcome of the next day and having to change it while not letting people get suspicious. Faith's conflict was more along the lines of how she could be the person she wanted to be while dragging her emotional baggage around with her, past vs. possibility, responsibility vs. rebellion. Faith has accepted, even embraced, her abnormality. Would Tru's dilemma change, then? Further consideration of some of these questions/conflicts would make this story even more pleasing.
