Cool name. Different but in the Serenity-verse it probably won't be questioned much. It's almost always nice to find out something unplanned you did came out better, deeper and more meaningful than expected. Who needs to be smart when other people will tell you you are anyway?

It's actually Sumerian (according to the internet, so if you trust that, then believe it). It means "where Heaven ends", but I felt that was too ominous so I did some mental gymnastics and figured where Heaven ends is actually the horizon and that's where Heaven and Earth meet - Oooh! Illyria and John!
Literal light bulb. Since phrases and such that are passed between cultures aren't always translated exactly the same, it allows for the variation.

Everyone has their moments, this was deep. I like, no - love, the motherly Illyria. I must repeat my desire to see little Anz'a dating... eventually. This is too much fun to rush, every John/Illyria fic is enjoyable. A wonderful concept fantastically illustrated and broadened.
