Oh, man! And I thought I was having trouble with my 20-month old, who is progressing at a normal human pace. I love how Illyria isn't phased in the least by the baby's actions and such. It would be great to see, when John also gets a touch more blase' about it, how an outsider would see their reactions to the wacky situations they are all bound to get into. I can picture John claiming that his daughter is "special" and "very advanced for her age" and the listener thinking that he is just being a typical parent (who thinks that their child is somehow better than any other), only to have the truth of it shoved in their face. Great fun!

I don't think John or Illyria would be willing to tell people that their genius child is half-demon. Too dangerous! Illyria expected the child to grow more quickly, I think, but when it took nine weeks to have it, she realized it might take longer than originally planned. John's still adapting. I love John as daddy.

Anz'a is the cutest thing EVER, and Illyria as a mother cracks me up. I loved the exchange over whether or not the kiddo will rule over any dominion...hee! And I started cracking up when she took John down. If Sammy and Dean are watching this somehow, I bet they're laughing it up. I hope you keep writing these fics for a long time. I'll definitely keep reading.

It's nice that John has the chance to be the dad he could have been. You could tell from the first couple minutes of the pilot of Supernatural that he would have been a fantastic father.

I think how to use the power may be the biggest disagreement that John and Illyria ever have. Illyria will understandably think that power equals control and that Anz'a has the right to rule those weaker than she is. John will, of course, take the human side that domination isn't what we humans want.
