After re-reading this one once again I find it incredible that you haven't updated this or posted any new chapters. This absolutely must continue; to do otherwise would be gross negligence of the highest order of magnitude. Wouldn't you agree?

Well written, very poignant. Everyone who has ever known anything about the world of Buffy Summers and her Scoobies would have a VERY hard time accepting that she could fall so hard in the Dark Side. This story makes it look like Buffy Summers is truly dead and nothing remains save a horrific tyrant bent on conquering not just the Star Wars universe, but her own as well. One can feel, truly feel the evil emanating from Lord Sumar, and the anguish and confusion that General Faith Lehane suffers as a result of watching how her friend becomes something worse than any demon or vampire they have ever faced together.

More chapters please!

I can't believe that you finally updated this story! Wonderful!! I note that I didn't review before (bad me) so I reread the whole thing and want to comment now.

Buffy *can't* believe that she is evil. That is necessary for me to buy into this. That really kind of bothered me in the scene when she basically ransacks Faith's mind to find out where Ben is. It seemed too sadistic, pain for pain's sake. Buffy can have a ruthless streak, but she didn't beat up vamps *just* to make them hurt (at least as far as I can remember). I picture her more saying, "Sorry about all the agony this is going to cause you, but I just have to know," as she methodically searches all of Faith's memories. Kind of a "I'm doing this for your own good and I know what's best" mentality, as an extension of "general Buffy" from season 7 taken to an extreme. Maybe she even considered showing Faith what had happened to her as being adequate recompense for what she "took". Isn't she nice to share?

Actually, now that I think about it, I don't even remember "reading minds" as being a Jedi power (otherwise, how did so many secrets end up being kept?) Could you please explain where that power is coming from? Thanks!

I can totally see Buffy turning on the Jedi if she felt they were trying to control her, like the watchers and PTB did previously, and learning about the "dark side" of the Force mainly to prevent anyone from being able to get her under their thumb ever again. She probably wouldn't even refer to it as the DARK side, but maybe the "emotional" side, the "human" side or even the "feeling" side. The Force for a slayer, especially Buffy, would likely be split into the brain side vs the heart side, logical vs emotional, thought vs feeling. And her success as a slayer came from her emotional connections with her family and friends, so she would be fully primed to believe that the side of the force that includes those connections would be the better, most successful route to follow.

I sure hope that you and your muse will be able to keep going on this story now. I'll be waiting patiently for the next update.

There has been lots of mind reading in Star Wars. Vader found out about Leia being his daughter during the final battle with Luke when "his thoughts betrayed him". It's never outright been called telepathy, but I figure anyone who can influence minds ("these are not the droids you're looking for!") can read them, too.

As for Buffy, the whole "emotions are power" thing is certainly up her alley, but in the Star Wars galaxy that leaves her wide open to the lure of the Dark Side. And you're right, she probably does not consider herself evil. I doubt Palpatine did, either. They just think/thought they know what's best for the greater good and act on it, no matter the collateral damage.

I just found this story. Very interesting ... I really enjoy this fic. Its a lot of fun.

I like this story so far. The one criticism I'd have to mention is that jumping backwards and forwards every chapter is going to kill the coherence of it as a unified whole instead of just as a collection of chapters. The first chapter or two, to show how Buffy is and why faith is there as well as to foreshadow other events, were well placed. I'm not sure bouncing backwards and forwards from this point on would be a good thing - try and keep some chapters in a linear order, temporally.

Don't worry, we're pretty much done jumping around. There will be one more flashback to show how Faith got to Coruscant, but that's it. It'll be linear from then on.

Buffy as Empress.... yikes. Finally went off the deep end into the dark side of the force pool. This isn't going to be easy .

Is Faith going to meet Leia, Luke and Han Solo in the most inept rescue attempt ever? Is she going to be at one with Han as a kindred spirit, as he asks if they can float out on the smell of the garbage recycle chamber?

Will Leia remind her of Cordelia?

Or is Faith going to get tortured by the floating black basketball with pins and laser beams attatched next?

I can hardly wait I tell you.

Oh, and I was wrong about five by five. Faith does use it in Angel in season four to Wes, when she says 'five by five,boss' but only once and I think she's being sarcastic.

I am still relieved not to see its appearance in your story so far.

while i am not a buffy fan, and i am usually of the opinion the dark must be mastered, your fic just taste...too easy. ah well, maybe i am wrong and it will look less cliche as it goes on :/
