Review of chapter "Chapter Four." from Vorchan
Review:
I liked the part about the landing party going berserk! And the "We come in peace... shoot to kill!" Sounds a lot like the song "Star Trekking" from the early 80s or late 70s,,, I remember it from my childhood!
This had me laughing all along!
Great Work, Dave!

Comments from author:
Yep, The Star Treking song was on my mind when I wrote this.

Cheers,
D.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Vorchan
Review:
This is fun! I really love the fact that you have made Kennedy a Star Trek fan! (I think the term is "Trekkie", and I too am a fan of Star Trek)
That's a very nice touch!
I also delight in her desire to be decent (clothing-wise), it makes her better- morally speaking- not completely 'morally broken', as it could be said.
The touch about not finding the lavatories was a fun touch.
This story makes me crack up.
About the 'morally broken' comment: it refers to those who have abandoned traditional morality in my context... but not necessarily those Tempted to, just those Engaged in Doing so!- these women have their vices, but apparently, don't want to always live badly- they also have their good parts in their personalities... such as liking sci-fi!
This is a Great Piece, Dave!

Thank-you.

Its been quite some time since I wrote this piece (so its nice to see someone reading it after all these years!), if i wrote it now I'd make a few chages as there's a couple of aspects to this story I'm not so sure of now. It might get a re-write one day who knows.

Cheers,
D.

Review of chapter "Chapter Five." from maxthehobbit
Review:
Not a trekkie, but I remember seeing most of the episodes in 1974-75 or so, think they were reruns, but that's all you get at overseas military installations. The base seemed deserted when Star Trek was on tv.

This was pretty funny till near the end, but good. Thanks
Comments from author:
Star Trek...the first TV show I saw in colour!

Again, this is one of those stories that if I was writing now I'd have stayed with the humour and cut way back on the darkness!

74-75 that would mean we were in the forces at about the same time!

Cheers,
D.

Review:
Lol! I liked your story. You made me laugh multiple times and your plot actually made sense. Both are good things. Lol! But we never got to see the Lesbians interact with Uhura. And get your mind out of the gutter, I don't mean sexually. But let me take a moment to mentally picture ... NO! Get thee behind me Satan! She was always one of my favorite ST characters and when I got to meet Ms Nichols at several Star Trek Cons, she turned out to be just as gracious and beautiful in real life as she was on the screen. I love this series of yours and can't wait for more. Maybe Mulder and Scully need some magical help on one of their stranger cases? But you've got me worried about Kennedy still peeing blood. Thanks for all the good reading and now write more. Lol!
Comments from author:
Cheers!

Yes there was a lot I could have put in Uhura and Yeoman Rand for four...sorry two! I only intended 'Star Trekkin'' to be a fairly short Fic so one only had so much time and space (Now I'm going inti Dr Who!) to fit stuff in.

Glad you liked the ending, to be honest I was a little worried about it. I think I made the previous chapters funnier than I had originally intended, and the last chapter was a bit serious (or so I thought). Anyway onwards and sideways!

So you went to Star Trek Cons too. I once met Walter Koenig twice! Plus various people off STNG, DS9 and Voyager. Yes I used to go to Cons quite a lot, but no more.

Next story out at about the end of the month.

All the best,
DaveT.

Yeah, the klingons are quite "cleaver" indeed!
Grins. So those are the grey robes bastard, uh? I am a bit worried still about buffy, hoping it doesn't get too bad :/
The only thing i am wondering is why you didn't have the lesbos join the federation, as i couldn't see why they were "as bad as the klingon".

Great work, your style gets a time to get used to, but...
Comments from author:
If you look at things from Willow's world view the Federation at that time would seem as bad as the Klingon's. Anyway that's what I thought.

I don't know if you watched DS9. Tho conversation between Quark and Garick (sp?) about the Federation and Root Beer being 'Insidious'!

I thought I'd caught all the 'cleavers' and thrown them back! One musta got through...not very clever of me.

Don't worry about Buffy she can look after herself!

All the best,
DaveT.

Review of chapter "Chapter Four." from (Moderator)Kiwikatipo
Review:
"The visions of running natives being Phasered down by a laughing Captain Kirk, the burning grass huts the screams of the women as the Landing Party raped any survivors."

Ethically that actually could have been vile writing. I thought the passage had all the high marks of high comedy as being so anti what we saw in the tv series. (I burst out laughing anyway)

But then it wasn't the real crew that did that it was copies, so its not funny anymore, but still not angst.

It was heavy morally, but I think you pulled it off.
Comments from author:
Well thanks for that! I don't think I thought about like that when I wrote it. I was just doing my usual; go from comedy to horror in a couple of lines to shock people out of their complacency (I think!).

Also, as I hope you'll see, I didn't go for the 'Funny bit at the end' as did the TV series.

Anyway, last bit tomorrow.

All the best,
DaveT.

Thank god they didn't successfully remove the widget valve, otherwise all the beer on board would be flat!
Comments from author:
Gods yes!

It's a little know fact that the original Enterprise actually ran on Boddingtons! All this blather about Dilithium Crystals was just a cover up.

All the best,

So are you going to all the lines from the song? Also liked the Willow Gandalf moment. Sill as all get out but I am enjoying it.

Review:
Ah, it is nice to see just a bit of Darth Willow in action. You have a very twisted mind and I have no idea of what is going on, but I blame the Klingons. By the way, are they the smooth forehead Klingons or the wrinkly foreheaded Klingons? Just wondering.
Comments from author:
This is TOS so they're to old fashioned Klingons. Never did like the explanation for the change given in 'Enterprise'.

Every now and again 'Darth Willow' has to come out to play...It's better than bottling it up!!!

All the best,
DaveT.

Okay, then the next one will probably have Kirk saying "We come in peace - shoot to kill" if you're following the song. Like the implausibly large earrings, especially in the context of the original animated music video, which I just found on youtube

Great stuff I've been trying to find that for ages!

Did you ever hear about 'Pages Bar' in Westminster? In i's heyday you could have 250 people all singing 'Star Trekkin' at the tops of their voices...those were the days...we thought they never end, we'd sing and dan...!

Sorry I've got to go now and take my Dried Frog Pills.

All the best DaveT.
