If indeed "Darla" was back and remembered Angel dusting her then she would have been much more careful.
If you need "darla" dusted then make her a cordette.
Keep Willow, don't dust her.

Yes, I did.
Because that's what my muse told me to write, and I *don't* argue with her, 'cause she'll go away and sulk for weeks or months, sometimes. It's happened a time or two in the past, and I don't want it happening again. ;-(

That is very dark. Also interesting that Giles had such a shock that day that he almost doesn't mind being vamped.
Comments from author:
Well, Giles' thoughts were being a lot more vindictive than him not minding being vamped. Imagine having to deal with two immortal teenagers for forever. Isn't that vicious and nasty? ;-)

*wicked chuckle* Oh, naughty naughty, turning the Slayer & Xander like that. *giggles*
I'd love more of this. A vampiric Scooby Gang is just so cool. Does Spike & Dru join them, or does it end up a sorta gang-war for control of the Hellmouth. And is Kendra still alive during Halloween? Is she the one that would have to fight them, or is it Faith?
Comments from author:
Thanks, I appreciate hearing your thoughts on the story idea.
As far as more of this particular idea goes, I do have some vague thoughts bouncing around the back of my head, but no idea when they might see the light of day (so to speak). ;-)
In Spike and Drusilla's case, all the Scoobies are going to see are possible competitors, who have tried to kill them in the past, so those two are definitely headed towards the dust bin, ASAP. ;-)
Yes, Kendra is still alive at Halloween, but once she shows up in Sunnydale, her life expectancy is going to drop drastically, since she never really impressed me as being very innovative, or a 'think outside the box' type person, and with Buffy as their leader, Xander and Cordy to provide those type of non-standard perspectives, and Giles, Jenny and Amy providing magical backup, I think she's going to be taken down very quickly.
Faith would be harder to take down, since she is a much more spur of the moment, free-form type thinker, but once Xander and Giles twigged onto her emotional problems, she'd be toast, too.

ETA. So, there is gonna be a second part, with Faith of all people... Hell Yeaah!!!.
So cool that fic going to be is!!
See ya!!
Comments from author:
Yeah, can you imagine having to live through the ages with an undying teen? ;-)
Actually, as far as Kendra goes, I think that she would have a very difficult time handling a vamped Scooby Gang, since, although she did seem to be quite talented technically, she still seemed to be quite narrow-minded and quite conservative in her attitudes and mental outlook. She definitely did not seem to me to be a 'think outside the box' type of person.
Having to deal with a vampire with special forces training (which includes emphasis on guerrilla warfare) such as Xander received from his costume, and combined with a Turned Slayer and Watcher who would both possess knowledge of the basic training she'd received would seem to me to put her in a situation where the odds are seriously against her. Without a great deal of luck, I think a vamped Scooby gang would take her down fairly quickly and easily.
Faith, however, would be an entirely different proposition, but that's a possible story for another time. ;-)

Personally, I kinda like the idea of a vamped Scooby Gang, but I'm not entirely sure how to write it. Usually my ideas start with Angelus somehow, somewhen, turning Buffy, and then it all turns very perverted and weird. I disturb myself sometimes. Still, Buffy and Xander worked very well, still 'them'-enough to fool Giles, temporarily, and still with enough emotional links to the others to enjoy themselves - turning Giles in particular, and the desire for the 'gang' to be together.
Keep up the great work.

Comments from author:
This developed from the idea of Ethan giving one of the girls a former possession of Darla's as part of a costume for Halloween, and just developed from there.
If and when Xander and/or Buffy were vamped, I can't see either of them allowing Angelus to remain undusted for more than a minimum amount of time necessary to acquire a stake, since he always seemed to me to be an overbearing and pretentious asshole. He may have been clever as far as figuring out the best ways to psychologically strike at his targets, but he was otherwise a piss-poor leader, especially as far as combat and tactics went.
Glad you enjoyed the story.

You have been putting out quite a bit of dark-fic recently. I am not complaining or anything especially not when it is of this high a quality just pointing it out.

Thanks for reviewing. All I can say is that RL has been exceptionally non-cooperative recently on quite a number of fronts. ;-(

I sure hope you feel better soon. This story was a real bummer. Lol! I just hope the new and "improved" Scoobies got Ethan before he could get out of town. Lol!
Comments from author:
I hadn't really considered while writing this whether the Scooby Gang, Mk. V (for vampire) would think about thanking Ethan personally for the opportunity he provided for their 'upgrade.' Hmm, another plot bunny sticks its head up out of its burrow. ;-)
Thanks for reviewing.
