Ah...Pretty in Pink. Didn't care much for the film but I do like the soundtrack. Not to mention the fact that it's the source of one song that seems to be mandatory at a lot of highschool proms even though it's twenty years out of date!!!

Anyhow...only checked this link out because I was thinking of Ducky from NCIS and I had two questions going through my head....Isn't Doctor Mallard old enough to be her father/grandfather? And how the hell could a writer accomplish that? Then again...to quote Jethro Gibbs: "Ducky's older, he's not dead."
But hey...I've seen Faith paired off with CSI's Grissom so I guess that's possible.
Oh...and if I remember the movie right, he did end up with some girl at the end.

It's a fanpic, maybe Willow's in the 80's for some reason, or Duckie manifested himself in the present. Regardless, they look about the same age in the picture, so they're about the same age. And he did end up with an admirer at the end, referred to in the credits as the "duckette" and guess who the lucky lady was? Kristy Swanson, the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
WHO'S DUCKY???? Sorry, was just thrown by the other reviewer. He is only the bestest funniest deserves-the-leading-lady-but-stuck-in-best-friend-role ever. i love that movie. And I deman you write a story to go with this.
Duckie- the way fabulous, much better boyfriend option in Pretty in Pink. Not to ruin it or anything but... he doesn't get the girl in the end, and hearts everywhere broke a little for him.
