I'm with the other reviewer. Willow kept getting conflicting directions from the Scooby Gang. "Willow, quick, we a need a spell for this!" "Willow, quick, we need a spell for that!" And then they start in with "Willow, why are you using so much magic?" Talk about mixed messages. And she got rather shafted by Joss's script. Deciding to go for a big "Death of Superman" ratings-grabber, wherein the main character is killed even though we know good and well that they're going to be brought back, she was quite deliberately set up as the instrument for doing so, then screwed over for it. The other alternative was that the series ended at Season 5, and no way was the network going to let that happen.

I agree with all your points about the storyline, but fail to see what that has to do with my story. (Not being snotty or anything ... I really don't see the connection)

SOMEBODY needed to say all that to Willow, and Spike was the only one with clear enough sight and raw courage enough (or foolhardiness enough) to do it. If only he HAD managed to get through to her before she'd continued to make things worse for everyone!

As you said, in THIS particular case, the harsh language was more than justified. Nice work.

I like how you wrote this, that is exactly how I felt when Willow tried to act like a know it all witch.
