Hmm, this is rather interesting. I've never heard of Garret and co. before, but so far, I haven't really needed to. If you decided to pick this back up, I'd read it.

OH YEAH!!! Please continue when you can... Garrett is one of my favorite series, and as others have pointed out, you've captured hus essence quite well.
I always liked how the Garrett books were an amalgamation of Travis McGee, Nero Wolfe, and Sam Spade... Garrett would make a perfect partner for Angel at AI, except that he and Angel would probably kill each other within a week.
Anyway, love it, and would love to see more, when your muse and RL permit!

I can honestly say I'm impressed. This is the first Garrett crossover I've ever seen. You got the tone and feeling of the characters quite close to the books. You perhaps rushed the set up a bit, but that is understandable. I hope you continue this unique story. Well done.

Damn, it's been *years* since I read the Garrett novels. I got to Petty Pewter Gods before discovering the internet, and the joy that is fanfiction, around the turn of the century (and how strange does *that* sound), and pretty much stopped buying fiction. You've captured Garrett's world-weary snarkiness perfectly. I'm definitely looking forward to more of this. Please continue.
I am extremely pleased to see a Garrett crossover -- it's one of my favorite series from way back, and I hope you are in the mood to continue this. Your stories are always well-written, and I know you'll give us a good plot and on-target characterization. The style here is absolutely true to Cook's "hard-bitten PI" style in these books, and I like the macguffin that got it all started. (Thinking about it, I've got to say that it's good that you brought Garrett to Sunnydale rather than dropping Scoobies in Tunfaire -- I think that city would eat them up before they knew what was going on!) I'll be eagerly anticipating further chapters!
