Definitely one of the best Riley-centric fics I've read. I like getting a glimpse of his motivations and the believable way that the characters joined forces.

Thanks for reading and sorry I have been so slow with my reply. I am pleased that you found their interaction/meeting believable.

This came to an end way before I was ready to let it go. Fortunately I happen to know there is already a sequel, so....
Comments from author:
Yeah, there's a sequel but it's happening at a slower pace; real life is doing that thing where it gets in the way of my obsessions. I have to say though, that all your comments have done my ego the world of good. Thanks for reading and reviewing. Your comments are greatly appreciated.
Still intrigued, but if you ever have time you might want to come back and look at some of the grammar.
Example - when they are looking in the house - 'many of their furniture' just doesnt flow. The problems aren't enough to make me stop reading, but they do disrupt the reading pleasure.

I agree actually. I re-read it myself recently and found a few errors myself, but I missed that one. I'm glad you'll not let them put you off.
Thanks a lot; I really appreciate that. I'm kind of relieved it's done as it's been quite demaniding to live with at times. The comments I have received have been great though, so thanks for reading it.
Sequel? :) This is a great story, I hope you continue the adventure :) *hint hint*

I do have things swirling around in my head, but I'm not making any promises; it will be nice to have a break from writing for a little while. I appreciate you reading it.

Fantastic chapter, although I did find myself holding back a couple of tears near the end, I felt kinda sorry for Riley :( I can't wait for the next chapter and Dean's decision :) please update again soon :)

Oh wow; I'm really touched that you were so moved. Thanks for reading. I still haven't decided if I'm gonna go for the happy ending or not.

Really enjoying this - very unusual pairing which you make very likeable. :-)

I'm glad you are enjoying it; I always found Riley likeable (I gather I am in a minority with that though) so I'm pleased other people are with this story. Thanks for your comments.
Argh, poor Riley. Always doing the best he can and still coming in second best. Of course, Dean isn't exactly the picture of stable mental health either so there still might be a chance they could make this work, but... yikes. There had to have been better ways to say that.
Comments from author:
I think that was said pretty well; I know exactly what you mean but as I have sadi before, for me, Riey and grief seem to go well together. I'll try to get over that though. Thanks for your comments.

Wow, great chapter but that is really sad :( poor Riley, never a top priority with someone. I hope thing get better for him :) please update again soon :)

Reviews already? Wow, thanks. You know, I do find if difficullt to have Riley happy. He just strikes me as a character that lends himself well to grief and angst. I promise I'll update soon and try my best for a happy conclusion. Thanks for reading.
