Well, I tried to make a storyline about Angel and a few others trying to steal an atomic bomb from the Race (and a German one doing the same) but aside from the fact that the German one would have blown up in their faces I couldn't get a good storyline going, or for that matter a good "dirty dozen" so to speak to accompany Angel. I'm much more familiar with BTVS then the Angel Series (where most of my knowledge of the Angel series comes from either looking at bits of the wikipedia articles (both regular wiki and buffywiki)... or from bits I've been able to work out through reading fanfic here or on other sites.
Instead I've decided that I'm going to bypass the whole storyline idea and turn this into a series of drabbles. That said, I need to re-read some of the Worldwar series to get my dates and locations right. (I know not to put FDR in a scene in 1945 when in the Worldwar TL he dies in 1944 but some other things I'm not sure of) Either way, expect a new chapter within the next month or two.
Its a pity you feel that you can't continue with this fic, you were doing pretty well. Its also a pity that its so long since I read the Worldwar series that I don't trust myself to write anything to add to this.
Oh well, all good things and all that.

I remember reading these books some years ago, and to be honest I'd never thought of them as Xover material. However you seem to have pulled it off! I'd just like to warn you that HT didn't always get his military facts quite right so watch out if you're using his books as a main sauce on military facts and figures.
Anyway, I've enjoyed what you've written so far so I'm going to put a track on it...I hope you keep going with it.
All the best, DaveT.
Comments from author:
Well, it is alternate history so he has some freedom to change things a bit. One thing that got me upset with the series is the failure to mention American jets like the P-59 Airacomet, first flew in October 1942. The US would have been trying to rush them into service. (even if they weren't as reliable, they were still jet fighters) and later the P-80 Shooting Star. The lack of the Pershing Tank (or any Heavy Tank) also got me upset.
Expect those to make an appearence at some point ;)
Thanks for the review. (that goes to everyone who has reviewed so far by the way). I didn't know how many people at this site had read the Worldwar Series, hence the long backstory at the start.
I'm about 1/3 through Chapter 4 now (well, I think I am anyway) but I posted this anyway as a teaser due to a reviewer (who has made several 'reviews') on another site basically telling me to quit the story. (along with a bunch of incoherent rambling that makes little sense, if any, and is filled with more spelling errors (word for word) then a 1st Grade teacher's collection of spelling tests) Of course I've looked at his profile and he seems to badmouth every sci-fi related story he can find. Posting this here and at the other fanfic site was my way of responding to his posts.

Nice update. A bit short, but you did say they would get longer so I'm looking forward to more story. But with the number of demons that are going to be in Angel's unit I can't help thinking Dirty Demonic Dozen. Lol!

This is a nifty and inventive story. I would never have thought of crossing the Buffyverse with any of Turtledove's stories, but you've done an excellent job of doing so. I look forward to more of your story.
