Review of chapter "Chapter Fifteen." from maxthehobbit
Review:
'patter of little hellspawn feet' I don't know why, but that just cracked me up, I pictured little green imps hopping around Willow.

Never saw or even heard of this 'Commander in Chief' show, but it was probably left-wing propaganda. Haven't watched the three main networks for about ten years now. I didn't spend 20 years of my life just to see my country almost taken over by Commie Red Chinese bastards. At least now people are starting to see that Communism/Socialism causes ... a 15 trillion dollar debt. Fortunately I'll be dead before the commies take over.

I liked this story a lot, not a purely funny story although you did add in plenty of puns. This one was more action/adventure oriented. What happened to the Valkyrie, just a mention of it, then nothing.

Thanks again for another entertaining story.
Comments from author:
Commander in Chief; was actually a pretty good show although it did fall into the same Democrats-good/Republicans-evil trap that 'The West Wing' did...after all we know that ALL politicians are evil!

To be honest apart from the basic outline of the story I can't remember any plot details, however the Valkyries turn up again later as they were a theme of mine back then.

Thanks for reading.

Review:
I fraking love this series! Willow turning into the nanobots and "gray gooing" the demon was very cool. But somehow I just knew he would be back, even before I read it in your story. A good villain just keeps coming on like the Energizer Bunny. Witch Queen of Seattle is something else for Kennedy to call out in the heat of passion. Lol! I also like it that Kennedy is 'related' to the Soprano Family. I wonder what would happen if a Mafia Princess is called as a Slayer? Lol! I think the Marine pilot of Marine One came out of this story the best. Most helo pilots I know love flying and hate all the military paperwork they need to keep up with. Being sent to Siberia, OK Alaska, and being forced to simply fly for the rest of his career is actually closer to Heaven to a rotorhead than punishment. And now we get to look forward to more goodness spewing from your computer. Quickly I hope.

Excellent series man!!.
I really liked the sense of humor of this tale, and the Soprano connection is pretty cool!.

I only watched a few episodes of Commander In Chief, and I can't give you an honest opinion about the characters of that TV show, but I liked the way you portrayed them here.
Really liked the way that Riley's life went after leaving Buffy, and the botched rescue attempt? A lovely example of inter-agency cooperation, indeed. By the way, Alfred the bat-Butler, was he a code V vampire or one of a different kind? Because the part with his ghost left with a lot of questions.

And sir, I most regrettably inform that you have left me with a mental scar of the size of Stratford-upon-Avon with the Demon lord and his juggling penis antics.
Oy The horror the horror Oy.

Are were gonna sometime soon(I hope) Kennedy's dear uncle Tony Soprano??

That's all man, and once again, congratulations for such a fine fic!.

See ya!!

Come bask in the glow of my ego!

You're just too nice! Thanks for the wonderful review, it's what makes writing so worth while.

I'm...I'm just lost for words...gasp!

Alfred the Demon Butler was just that a Demon. I quite liked him so maybe he'll come back in one of my series.

Unfortunately I never watched the Soprano's! I just put that in so people would get the Mafia connection. however the truth will be even more stunning!

All the best,
DaveT.

Hi DT

Chalk up another hit on the old successometer.

Seems to me that Ken's mom isn't all she appears to be....Same woman?? Mafia???

Hasseldorf? nanobotted to bits, and still comes back...?

Liked Alfred.... Not all demons have to be bad...

Debbie Howard...Another Slayer up the duff....There'll be enough brats running around soon to warrant theirown creche...

What is it with politicians...they never know when to let sleeping dogs lie....Or in this case, a witch and her slayers...

Keep up the good work..

Gold Star...

God, I sound like a teacher.....

“Major Finn is a very resourceful young officer.” I think Somebody is going to be getting a very nice Officers Efficiency Report next reporting period. Lol! "And now it begins." I do so love a good mix-em-up. "The Master Vampire Tim" just does not sound cool enough though to be a master of the city. He needs a better PR team. Lol!
Comments from author:
AHA! But the reason he's so successful is no one knows about him! Actually I liked Alfred better when I was writing this.

President in BDU's? It's going to have to be Goldie Hawn.

P.s. You're at it with humorous typo's again - "Stars and Strips" seems somehow appropriate for modern-day America.
Comments from author:
I blame Freud!

I caught one myself earlier in the story. Debbie was going to take the Morning After PILE!!! The mind just boggles!

Oh my! I hope a lot of SPD cops don't get caught in the crossfire. Nice to see Reily and Miller still kicking supernatural butt together. Too bad Sylvester didn't eat Kennedy's "half-sister" too. Lol! I like the reporter as a minor "villian" also.

Review:
Just checking in to see what your one true pairing is up to, (looking to see if a certain political connection is going to be revealed) and may I say how cute and adorable I find the thought of Sylvester being their cat.

I love the idea of Sylvester being spoilt and having a nice life because it used to upset me as a child he could never eat that up himself Tweety-bird.

And the idea of a big cuddly Sylvester - no wonder the household spoils him -it's just too huggable for words.

Great description of a woman faking during sex by the way.
Comments from author:
Thank-you as always. Unfortunately the connection you spoke of was thought up after this fic was written, maybe next time.

The description of Debbie faking it comes completely from my imagination. I, of course, have no experience of this sort of thing ;)

All the best,
Dave.

Review:
“We don’t even know whether she had him before or after she was chosen.” Continued Willow, “And I worry.” She added with a huff.

Surely they could ring Robin up and ask him? He was brought up by his mothers watcher, he must have asked at some stage. With all the Slayers newly activated I would imagine that would be a pressing concern.
Comments from author:
What you say is true...and far too easy! Plus I never thought about it! Darn! Bloody plot-holes!

Mind you, I think Robin would have been quite young at the time and maybe he thought all moms had super-powers? Could be that the Watcher never mentioned it. Personally I'd go with before Nickie was Chosen I think it would make more sense that way.

All the best,
DaveT.

Yet another excellent story. As always, so much of your dialog just tickles me to death. I especially liked:
“I did tell you.” Assured Kennedy.
“You did?”
“Yeah, but you weren’t actually awake at the time.” Kennedy confessed.
“Oh, that would explain why I have no memory of it then.”

Lol! Nice to see a sane, all be it still evil, master vampire. I wonder if he has read the Rules to Being an Evil Overlord? Thanks for another nifty-neato update.
Comments from author:
Funny you should mention 'The Rules' as I reread them shortly before writing this.

*Thinks* Use The Rules as the back ground for a series of ficlets/drables and how they would have effected the Scooby's plans.

I shall think on this.

All the best,
DaveT.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from BeatriceOtter
Review:
‘Commander in Chief’ was cancelled after its first season (Booo! Hisss!) due in part to pressure from ‘right-wing’ groups (they didn’t like the way the series depicted the Republican Party [which probably means that the program makers got it about right!]).

One comment: the US media tends to be very biased about politics, usually (but not always) in favor of the Democrats. There is a standard picture in the US media of what a "Republican" is and what a "Republican" believes. There may be people in the US who fit that caricature. However, as a Republican myself I've never actually met anyone who did. Of any political party.

I only saw bits and pieces of Commander in Chief, but I liked what I saw of it; my understanding was that the problem was mediocre ratings and Hollywood itself. Hollywood's ideas of what the country outside Hollywood is actually like are seriously skewed, and not just about politics. They tend to think that females or non-whites in positions of power make something too risky to bet money on, because they tend to believe that anyone who doesn't live in DC, LA, or NY is a redneck hick. So they believe a show like this one is doomed from the start and won't take a chance on it unless it gets much better ratings than a show about, say, a white male president. And then they blame the fact that they're not willing to take a chance on how bigoted the rest of the country is!
Comments from author:
I agree with most everything you say. The press over here is very similar with the BBC being (at times) both pro and anti Government. I was just repeating what I had seen and heard. As I say I'm no expert on US politics.

I think the trick to ensurring TV companies keep good shows like CiC on, is to write to the companies that advertise during the show and tell them how the TV companies are screwing about with your fav show and you're not going to buy there produces because of it !

Its worth a try.

All the best,
DaveT.

Review:
Interesting Story, I like many mourn the Passing of 'Commander in Chief'. The first half of the season was brilliant, regrettably the Creator of the show was removed for the second half of the season, in my opinion his absence was the reason that the shows ratings fell, and for that reason (Not Any Conspiracy) the show was canceled. Also in my opinion Speaker Nathan Templeton was a thinly disguised Senator Robert Bryd (D), a former member of the KKK. In the show Speaker Templeton was made more personable than Senator Bryd, actually a positive force at times at other times a victim of his own hubris. Keep the story coming and I will keep reading. Till then PEACE.
Comments from author:
Interesting comment.

I'm English so I'm a bit lost were US politics are concerned.

Yet another excellent update to a very neat story. You certainly have a gift for perfect characterization and writing sparkling dialog. I can't wait to find out why Kennedy's half sister is in town and how she reacts to her first demon attack. Lol!
